Design defects in the shifting device on 2004 Volvo XC90 SUV. ** answer required***. the shifting device tends to stop in reverse when you try to put the SUV into park, because the shift had stopped hard. If the brake is released and the motor is still on, the car goes backwards. This can easily cause an accident or an injury.
