There is a SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE on XC90 models which have a pale (light beige) colored trim, which includes the whole dash panel. Volvo denied there was a problem. In bright sunlight the glare reflected from the dash on to the windshield causes 50% loss of visibility. This is so dangerous that a child could be killed if not seen by the driver. I had to resolve the problem myself by literally painting the whole dash with a special matt black vinyl dye. However, what I found amazing was the attitude of Volvo's management. Their written excuse was that on most sports cars (which the XC90 is not!) the windshield is at a low angle and that glare will occur. Their answer was as useful as informing me what type of tea they drink.
