Ok, so my 1991 Yugo GV +, which I bought NEW, has had a broken transmission 20 + times in the 10 years I had it! The first time it happened, I had owned the car for a month. I went to the dealership, only to find that Yugo left the United States! So, I had to go to a mechanic and fix it for $2,000!!! That was almost the price of the car! I don't know how I kept up with this! At one point, the transmission cost $7,000!!!!! So, once I was completely fed up with it and had saved enough money to buy my dream car (which was very hard with the transmission), I gave it to my friend, who was looking for rare cars as a Christmas gift, and drove away in my brand new Lexus! I will never get a Yugo if it's the last car in the world!!! And, along with the transmission, the list of problems for my Yugo keeps going on and on!!!!

This was my friend's car. He bought it used in January of 1992 for $1,000. The transmission started slipping about 4 days before it failed. He bought it to the local mechanic. Had it replaced. He then traded in the car for a 1992 Honda Civic. This car sucked! it was horrible!
