2002 BMW 745li high pitch whine from transmission, similar to aircraft turbine engine noise, while driving at highway speeds. BMW, it's dealer and headquarters have known about this problem and are unable to resolve or fix it. Additional problem with this vehicle is a shimmy from the front end of the vehicle.
