Impala LT 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

2015 Chevy impala LT limited. I bought the car with 22,000 miles on it. first I had to get the evap solenoid replaced twice. At around 30,000 miles the front end of the car started popping and clanking. Mostly would clank when it would downshift. The popping would happen when I would take off from a complete stop.

I have replaced the wheel hub assembly (because it was already starting to have a wheel bearing go out) and brakes on the car. haven't had the rest looked at yet because I am due for safety inspection for plate renewal. Recently I have heard a squeaking sound front under the front end when I would have the brakes applied while turn left (rolling not stopped). Now I am slightly starting to hear the same noise just when I am turning left even without applying brake pressure.

The car now has 70,300 and wouldn't think that I would be having suspension issues already. Not my first impala I have had 3 2004 body styles. 1 just base model, and 2 LS models. I knew on those body styles the rack and pinion was kind of wonky and wheel hub wiring harness would get chewed up pretty quickly. Never would have guessed that the newer body styles would have bad parts too.

Beginning to think I got a lemon.
