The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. While parked, the contact noticed smoke coming from under the hood and flames from under the vehicle. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames. The police and fire department reported to the scene and a report was filed. The cause of the fire was undetermined. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 03V471000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings) but was unsure if the vehicle was included in the recall. The contact stated that she had refueled the vehicle prior to the fire. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
