I like so many others are having an issue with my vehicle. At times the vehicle does not want to start. I have had it towed 2 times to the dealer and of course once they get the vehicle there it starts. They then tell me that there is nothing that they can do for me. I called Chrysler and they said they were unaware of the problem which seems so funny to me cause every where I read it is something about the vehicle intermittently not starting. This is my first and last Chrysler product I will ever own. How many complaints do you need before they are going to do something?

We bought this car used in 2011. We had an inspection done of the brakes by the dealership we bought from and were informed the brakes were in good shape. We have taken the vehicle to the local Dodge dealership for regular preventive maintenance and they have told us the brakes are in good shape also. The last visit they told us the front brakes were completely gone. This after just 4000 miles. The electrical system is also failing. The vehicle at times just won't start or other times will shut done. We feel this vehicle is an accident waiting to happen and feel we have a lemon with no course of action and still 5years of payments.

On my 5th set of brakes & rotors on my 2009 Dodge Journey. The car only has 53000 miles on it. Chrysler refuses to admit there is a problem with the braking system on the car. I am now averaging replacing rotors every 10,000 miles. Very expensive and most importantly not safe. Please investigate this problem as Chrysler extended the warranty on the brakes when we received a letter in July of 2011 to 36,000 miles. They know the brake system is too small for the car. There have been other electrical problems as well. I feel this car is a lemon. Thank you!

Journey

Our electronic throttle control (etc) came on last Friday evening. We cycled the key and the etc sensor shut off. However, further searches showed that this problem could be caused by cold weather. No recalls are noted on NHTSA's website. The Dodge Journey handbook is very vague on what action should be taken if the etc sensor appears for a short time but then disappears after key cycling is complete.

Vehicle would not start. All lights worked, but nothing else. It could not be taken out of park. Tow truck driver tried to jump start, but battery was good. He had to drag the fwd vehicle into a position where he could tow it from the front. Dealer said cause was the win module (over $300 and it is out of warranty). There could be more issues but they will not know until part arrives. There appear to be many issues with this part on this and other Dodge vehicles, but no recognition of a safety issue.

At random times the engine will not start. It is not a battery problem, as all lights and radio work even when the engine will not turn. If you wait long enough it may start again. This is a safety issue as you never know when or where this problem will occur.
