problem #2

Jan 162019

Edge SEL 2.0L

  • Manual transmission
  • 11,126 miles

Second occurrence - wipers failed to activate. Shutting down the car and restarting it restored the wipers to working again. This is REALLY dangerous! and the dealer said the diagnostics showed "no codes" so nothing was done. Does this car run on MS Windows? Rebooting seems to fix things :-( Very frustrated.

Love the car, really hate the risk of having NO wipers especially on a slushy day here in southern Ontario!

Edge SEL 2.0L

  • Manual transmission
  • 10,812 miles

While driving in rain, I switched on the wipers and nothing happened. Earlier that day they worked just fine.

Stopped the car, shut it down then restarted and wipers worked again.

Private mechanic said diagnostics showed "no codes" so there was nothing that could be done.
