problem #2

Escape

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Remote would only unlock the passenger door. Had to get in on that side to unlock driver door. This is a safety issue! If in an accident and doors won't open, also unsafe at night if you can't get in your car or lock uour car.

Now the doors in the car wont lock. When you use the remote the drivers door locks but nothing else. I thought something "funny" was happening to my car but attributed it to me forgetting to lock it??? Senior moment??? The only way I can guarantee it is locked is to hand lock each door but the the hatch will open. I'm really uncomfortable going to the gym in the dark and leaving the doors unlocked. I think all of this is related. I paid a small fortune for this car and expected it to at least meet the same standards as the Honda's and Toyota's I had previously driven. Trying to the right think by buying America and now its back fired on me. This is the 4th major issue with this car. Think I've got a LEMON!
