Escape

  • Automatic transmission
  • 123,000 miles

Driving down town PHX the car started hesitating real bad it, dropped from 85 to 25 and would not go. So I pulled off at a gas station to check the transmission fluid of course that is impossible due to the fact there is no dip stick. How stupid can a car manufacture get if it requires transmission fluid then it requires a dip Stick or is 3 ounce to much weight for the fuel regulations. Anyways I think Ford should fix this problem beings there is quite a few people reporting the same issues specially since the transmission don't seem to have that many miles on it. Ford should replace the transmission seeing's how we pay so much for something that don't last. Just because we live in a throw away society. doesn't mean start offering a product that doesn't last specially at the price of a new vehicle

Escape SE 2.0L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

The Ford Escape (and Fusion) 6F35 transmission on the Ecoboost 2.0L engine is pretty difficult to love. It CONSTANTLY flutters between gears 2-3 and 3-4 when around 1800-2100 RPM. It will up & down shift and I am worried about the transmission falling out of the car soon. It is absolutely annoying when just driving along on the highway or around town. It is consistent and constant. It will always do it without fail.
