problem #1

Feb 012009

Explorer XLT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,000 miles

When auto AWD engages, it will not go "back" to rear wheel drive. Gets "stuck" between all wheel and rear wheel. Had transfer case rebuilt once(alledgedly). Dealership treated the symptom and not the problem. Couldn't find the problem. Transfer case is now in need of another rebuilding plus original problem of why this happens needs to be solved.

Car is now past warranty and both the dealership and Ford have said this is now my problem.

This car is a piece of garbage and FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT OR THE PEOPLE WHO THE CERTIFY TO FIX THEIR PRODUCT.

I am a 37 yr old salesman who puts between 30,000 and 40,000 miles a year on my cars. I trade up every 3 yrs. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD AGAIN. THESE CARS ARE GARBAGE.
