On a random search of this issue came a cross complaints. Find out that Ford does not address this isse as a saftey recall. well are they waiting for a death? This is too much, we are still shaken by this. We just had the truck with our precious cargo, the two grand kids and our dogs. Can nit get worse, They just returned from Singapore and we were thrilled, it could have been fatal/catastrophic for all of us and other drivers
One time my backup sensor failed. repair cost 500.00 not a good expense
Update from Jan 7, 2016: On taking it to Ed Learn Ford in St Catherine. the Tec advised me of the cause, mentioning something I already knew. I asked them if Ford knows about the issue, but did not get a good response. Asked that the damaged lug nuts and bolts be saved on job completion. on picking up vehicle informed that they had been tossed in to the bin. Since then have written or called Ford Canada, Transport Canada, the Dealer, and Market place on CBC TV in Canada, Is this a case of saving dollars overall? and if fined by the state, they still wont be at a loss. Loss of human life seems to be way down the food chain when compared to action taken over a dog or cat left in the summer heat in a locked auto .Can anyone tell me if there is a recall for this issue?
