The door latch on the back suicide opening doors on my F150 stopped working. We had a passenger in the back seat but when they tried to get out the door would not open. The latch had stopped working. Though they were able to get out through the other side, this is a very dangerous situation. Where we in an accident with the possibility of fire or the door would not open for the fire and rescue squad it could have been life threatening. Soon after this incident the other side did the same thing. Now both door latches do not work. How much worse would that have been if an accident would have happened and both doors stopped working. I cannot find a better example of poor safety design and safety threat than this situation. From what I can find there is no recall for the door latch failure on the Ford trucks with the suicide doors on the Ford cabs. The truck is still in this state because we cannot afford to get it fixed and yes it is available for inspection. I described above just how the safety of my passengers were put at risk. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center" No, but the problem is well known, all you have to do is search the internet for this door lock failure Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" NO, the failure happened all of a sudden and without warning. The same failure happened a few weeks later on the opposite side door latch with the same problem. If I would have had a passenger in the back at that time and gotten in an accident this could have been a life threatening situation. There would have been no way for the person of persons to get out of the back seat due to neither door opening.

Main truck frame is rusting through-presently the left frame rail just behind the left door is failing. The overall condition of truck is good, no body panel rust through(s)-note that I live in Northern Michigan. At this point I wouldn't lift with a floor hoist or heavy load the box with materials. A check of the web shows many of the same complaints........2006 Ford F150, I can provide pics if need or you can actually inspect.

My 2006 F150 Ford lariat. It started with the front map light are some light not sure what it's called. It would come on by itself just sitting still with engine off. And no one in the truck. It would do this all hours of day and night. Then the door jar light came on going down the hwy. And would not go off. We stop to check all does and they all was shut. It stays on and want go off. Then with all that going on all my power windows stop working. They was working fine but when the dime light problem. And the door a jar light on when you get in the truck and turn key on. I have talk to people that own a Ford and most all Ford's have had this problem. I also have googled these problems and a lot of people have had the same problems. But it hasn't been any recall on these problems. It really needs to be a recall for these problems on Ford's. it's a electrical problem.

I purchased this 78,400 mile vehicle from an internet sale in Sept/Oct. 2019, within a few days of delivery, while taking it around for maintenance appraisals (brakes, etc.), one of the shops warned me of major frame rust. A visual inspection shortly thereafter showed the main frame members were rusted through and partially collapsed from the weight of the truck while being lifted on a rack.

The rear of the frame has nearly completely broken through both sides of the frame causing the bed of the vehicle to contact the rear cab of the vehicle. Both sides are completely rusted through causing a safety concern as the rear of the vehicle could completely separate from the front end. I started noticing a tapping sound coming from the back end of the vehicle on Feb 5, 2020, which was about a week ago. After researching the noise I noticed that the top of the bed was touching the cab while the bottom of the bed was about 4-5 inches from the cab. After inspecting the frame of the truck at the rear, I saw that the frame was nearly completely rusted through on both sides.

Main frame rails rusted throughout. My state doesn't check frames for this during normal state inspections. This truck passed inspection. Only 78,000 miles. Why isn't a recall issued for this problem?

My truck is making a chain slapping noise only when I first start it after it sits for several hrs. It sounds like their is slack in the timing chain. I know that the chain tensioners fail on this model. Please help as I love my truck and I don't wanna loose it. Because it only happens when I start the vehicle and then immediately goes away, it was stationary when it started the noise. I'm just afraid that if it keeps on slapping, it will damage the plastic runners and possibly have a chain come off while it's in motion.

The frame is rusted to the point that I've had to have a shop weld steel sections around the frame. Bought the truck and kept miles off of it because I planned to retire and keep the truck for quite sometime retired now for a year and I'm being told I'll have to junk the truck in a year or so. I have a truck with low miles and can't use it. Thanks Ford Motor Company!!!!

Takata recall. For three years of electrical issues, beeping electrical dash panel and lights in truck hardly ever work. The trucks dependability at moment isn't great due to these issues. Can't afford a new truck at time being.. this truck Transport my toddlers around. This typically happens when turning on car and opening doors we never see lights on. It does happen also when driving at random times. Not sure if it has anything to do with stopping or turning. Will happen at any rate of speed.

Last week truck suddenly became very hard to turn going around corners. Steering wheel locked up and I almost went over an embankment. Hit or miss so I never know when it will go out. Thankfully did not have my 2 young children! a week later (11/29/15), truck suddenly starts to violently shake if I go over 50 mph! scared the dickens out of me! hoping to limp it to a dealership and trade it in. Not safe for me to drive. I have put 20K miles on it in 2 years and has been regularly serviced. What gives"!"
