The day I went to purchase this vehicle the dealership told me then there was an electrical problem that has caused the radio not to work. That they will fix it next day. I basically got the run around had there mechanic look at it he could not figure out what was wrong. I informed them that there is more then just the radio the air bag system does not work or show that it works. Also pointed out that chunks of metal was falling from the bottom of this every time I shut the door. Still nothing has been done. They used rustoleum bed liner to cover every inch under the truck. It is literally falling to pieces. 3 weeks go by after sending numerous emails on update when this will get fix and they tell me that they will not fix it because the co signer left a bad review. I have no working air bags. And I'm paying 15 thousand for this truck.

Vehicle would stall at random while driving. Mechanics at Ford advised that it was relay wire or harness wires for the airbag sensors that ran through the fuel tank were corroded or shorted out. They reported that the engineers at Ford made a bad call when they decided to run the wires through the fuel tank, which in turn resulted in me having to dish out 1500 bucks for the repair. This issue occurred multiple times prior to the repair on a truck with less than 53000 miles at the time, between during March or April of 2014 when I first purchased the used truck. Lost all power at various speeds and on several road types including highway, highway service road, residential street and farm to market road, while going strait and during turns, after multiple events and having put less than 1000 miles on it, I took it up to Ford. Grateful that no accidents occured during the episodes I experienced. I was able to cometo a stop, place the truck in park and restart it. Ttince the repair no issues. Love the F series pick ups and have owned several over a span of 18 years and its all my dads company uses. I know its been almost 4 years since having the issue but felt like I needed to say something to at least give others a head up or warning. Never set well with me. I still have the repair paperwork if needed.

Takata recall- my vehicle is approaching the 2nd anniversary since the takata airbag safety recall and a remedy is still not available. A letter I received from the manufacturer, recommended I not Transport front seat passengers. This is unrealistic and unpractical, but I do not feel confident trusting the safety of my family and acquaintances with the airbag system issues this vehicle has.

After taking my vehicle in to the shop for a routine safety inspection, I've received a call that my F-150 failed because of an air bag malfunction. After doing research, I have found out that many vehicles with air bag malfunctions have been recalled. I feel that this is not a case of normal wear and tear from the owner but a company malfunction. I am suppose to pay $1300 for a repair that I have no control over and one that has been recalled in so many vehicles? I find this to be unacceptable!

I was involved in a low-speed 45 miles a hour front end collision. I was in a Ford F-150 4 door 2-wheel drive. My seat belt worked great. The air bag went off but did not hit me in the face. The front of the truck was crushed badly but with no fluid leaks. After the wrecker pull my front bumper free from my front tires I was able to drive the truck back home about 100 miles. All system worked great. The truck showed that the Ford safety system worked well. I had no injuries except for my left hand. And that is the complaint. Why would Ford or ntsb allow a Ford design that not only can help save a life but for sure will injure the very person they are trying to save. Being a engineer myself I believe they could design the tear pattern, which is the problem, on the steering wheel air bag so that it did not fly open left & right and inflect a severe blunt force injury to my thumb by the Ford emblem. The injury is just like I was hit with a hammer on my thumb. It did not break my thumb but a severe skin break and bruise that took 2 weeks to heal. I have pictures if that would be of help. Have Ford engineering call me and I will show them how to fix the problem. I do not like to be injured while you are trying to save my life. Ford can do both. Save my life and not injure me at the same time. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
