Frozen wiper nozzles, frozen washer fluid reservoir, frozen hoses to and from reservoir to nozzle sprayer. Multiple occasions of the fluid being frozen, or freezing while driving. Using winter mix solution designed for upto -20. Tried other brands, still end up with freezing sprayer while driving, temperature has done this at around 20 degrees, uncertain if this is due to characteristic of aluminum body or poor design. Check valve was observed being frozen at one point with blockage, had an updated checkvalve/line kit I purchased, after reading in F150 forum for tsb for F150, yet still had issues. Vehicle remains garaged while not in use, other vehicles including older Ford Ranger and a Plymouth neon did not have these issues although sitting outside with same wiper fluid. Significant hazard on highway to have sprayer go from working to frozen in seconds with the misting of other cars in the snow on windshield. Very dangerous situation in the dark, defrosters on high heat do not help enough to clean the windshield. Presently looking at heating methods/defrosters or insulators before winter comes. Would like a factory solution, but I cannot wait til it causes a serious wreck. A vehicle passing by blowing mist in winter will diminish visibility greatly. I've had multiple occasions of freezing sprayer/reservoir/line issues. Sometimes while stationary, other times while driving sprayer ices over. After long drive 1hr sitting in garage the engine bay heat thaws out the sprayer. Many complaints on F150 forum. Best estimate for date of occurrence(s) is winter months.

On most occasions when temperatures are below freezing, windshield washer solvent doesn't work to clear windshield of ice and salt buildup, creating little to no visibility. It sporadically functions between +25 to +32 degrees and rarely ever below +25 degrees. Using winter blended washer solvent -25 degrees. Ford is aware of the problem and the fix is to replace a rubber washer fluid supply line. Apparently, there is a defect with the hose. A recall should be issued to correct these dangerous driving conditions.

I have a constant issue in temps below 25 degrees which is about 25% of the time in my patrol area. This is a state patrol issued patrol vehicle. Spray nozzle fails to operate. Pump can be heard operating but pressure drops until inop. Checked washer lines, non appear to be frozen. Nozzle does not appear to be frozen either. I have tried all known fixes, lower temp fluid, a fluid "booster", alcohol on nozzle etc. This happens constantly while in motion as I would assume wind chill temps decrease. After letting truck sit for 15 mins or so issue is resolved due to obvious increased under hood temperatures. Within minutes of highway driving and again lower wind chill temperatures problem occurs again. Maybe a freezing pump issue? dealership stated they had no idea about issue.

The panoramic sunroof locked up on me when I tried to open it... it would not open and it makes obnoxious noises under normal driving conditions... there are many you tube videos on this ref. Issue... Ford is replacing the parts to the sunroof, I have read on many Ford forums that this 'quick fix' will not correct the problem... additionally the steering column always feels like it's positioned off center and veers to the right... I had the truck aligned, problem still exists... also I've had reoccurring issues with my sync/bluetooth and have advised my service advisors that the problem still exists, when I talk to anyone via the bluetooth I hear loud intermittent static throughout the phone call and the folks on the receiving end of the call all say that there is an echo in the phone line forcing me to end the handsfree sync call and therefore using my own bluetooth... Ford service advisor stated it was because I have an apple iphone, I'm less than satisfied about how Ford is handling this issue... I have complained more than 3 times on record about this issue

At temperatures of 20F-22F windshield wiper pump loses pressure and can not pump wiper fluid. Dealership brings truck inside, warms truck and claims it was frozen and now it works. After driving 15 minutes in 20F-22F pump initially worked then started to lose pressure again, resulting in failure to pump windshield wiper fluid. You could see the pump pumping less and less as you drive. This causes a condition where it is difficult to see out the window and vision is impaired. Also using premium deicer washer fluid, not standard wiper fluid, (rain-X deicer) that has a tendency to freeze in the North East during winter.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the windshield washer fluid failed to disperse through the jets without warning. The contact stated that the failure occurred when the temperature was extremely low during the winter months. The vehicle was taken to ipswich Ford (105 county rd, ipswich, MA 01938 (978) 356-6850) several times, but a cause of failure could not be determined. While driving in extremely cold weather with salt on the road, the contact attempted to operate the windshield washer fluid, but the fluid failed to dispense. As a result, the contact drove into a snow bank. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed out of the snow bank and driven home. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken back to ipswich Ford and repaired per tsb 16-0082 (inoperative windshield washers-below 0 degrees Fahrenheit). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

Windshield cracked without any impact from road debris while driving down the freeway at 65 to 70 mph in 70 degree clear weather on March 8, 2017. Crack started after a very loud noise, like a gun shot, at the upper edge of the windshield right at the roof line just above rearview mirror and expanded about 8 inches at a 60 degree angle then ran at 180 degree angle another 14 inches before heading back to the top lip of the windshield at a 90 degree angle. Professional body & glass repair shop could not find impact of any kind anywhere on the windshield appeared like a general stress fracture not associated with impact or excessive stress more like a flaw in the windshield structure. Truck had approximately 26,000 miles on odometer has never been used to tow nor has it been off road. Have windshield fractures not associated with impact been reported on other aluminum body Ford pickups. We took possession of our truck in June of 2015. Our truck is a super crew cab 2 wheel drive 2.7 liter V6 lariat model. Repair was a little over $500 not covered by insurance. These windshields have sound proofing material inside them according to the body shop and somewhat unusual.

The image in the driver side rear view is distorted into dual or blurred image. It is difficult to capture while moving, but is, escalated when multiple vehicles and lanes are present. Escalated even further in inclement and night driving conditions. The spot mirror is integrated with the main rearview mirror further distracting the driver from the road ahead as well as points to the same line of horizon that proves to be both driver and passenger rearview mirrors, making side and rear safety cushion observation ineffective and inefficient. Many citizens install pick up bed truck caps to protect their belongings. The design of these mirrors alone is detrimental to safety observation. Add in defective performance sits on the slope of reckless endangerment. Which brings me to the indented signaling programed into the turn indicators. This indented feature promotes unsafe turning/lane change maneuvers. Using the 100 ft. Rule. It is impossible complete a safe lane change and share the road with other drivers in the time allotted 3 flashes. Three before, three during and three after is pushing a less experienced driver. None the less is the accepted courteous driver rule, not to mention the rule of law. At the very least this mirror should have a warning of poor visual when installing truck cap and dealer should be required to warn prospect thereof. As well as the manufacturer needs to offer an optional application. Safe cars save lives. This photo examines the defect occurring at center angle of mirror. The defect is more pronounced moving towards the edge. But definitely occurs before the line caused by auto dimming film. ( unable to upload photo) but available on request. Update! 5/11/2017 as of now I am allowing fomco to repair and replace this defective mirror. I still believe it to be a safety design flaw and should be removed upon verification of towing intention.

Rear window shattered. Vehicle was parked. I was away from the vehicle working and when I returned I noticed the rear window was shattered outward. Outside temp was 60 degrees F, and there was little to no wind. Center slider was intact, but the large glass was blown outward in the center of the two largest areas. See photos.

Windshield wiper sprayer not working in colder weather. Occurred when temperatures are under 20 degrees also another owner experience this that same day. Its happened twice now in the past week. Visibility with windows icing/smeared dirt is troublesome whether on highway or driving in general. Highly concerned I wouldn't be able to safely see to pull over. Love the truck but this is concerning.

Windshield washer fluid frozen in lines. When pushing the washer fluid button while driving, the wipers would wipe but not washer fluid would come out causing a dangerous visibility situation. I took it to the dealer that day while they were still frozen and the dealer said I did have the correct windshield washer fluid in them, but they were having problems with them freezing, so they said they dumped more alcohol in the tank and said to let it thaw overnight in the garage (thankfully I have a heated garage, but many don't so I'm not sure what their solution would be). I asked the dealer to perform the tsb currently out that covers this very situation. They said they put more alcohol in the tank and it should be fine. The dealer was dahl Ford located in onalaska, wi. This even being a problem to begin with is a alarming, and a dealer not willing to fix such an important problem when it's a known issue is just as much of an alarm! secondly, my door latches also freeze on the truck when temps are below freezing. All 4 doors of my crew cab are affected. Depending on the day, it varies which one freezes. I have stopped using car washes and trying to keep my truck as dry as possible to no avail. Once these latches freeze, the door will either not lock or unlock (depending on the last position of the switch), or when you open the door and shut it, the door mechanism will not grab and hold the door shut. After repeated slammings I can usually get it to lock, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I have to carry bungee cords around in case my doors won't close and I have to bungee cord them closed to drive home! I have a newborn, I can't have this crap on a truck with 20K miles! many many many many many people are having these exact same issues, I only found out how many there were after doing an online search for a fix.

Nov 30, 2015: While traveling on interstate I-64, Norfolk, va. During a heavy rain storm, both wiper blades stopped in the vertical position. I tried to turn the wipers off and attempted various other setting but the wipers remained stationary in the vertical position. Dec. 2, 2015, dealer replaced the wiper motor to resolve the issue.

I purchased a 2015 in August 2015. I took this into the dealer 2 weeks ago as the washer fluid pump would not work. I was told that the washer pump motor needed replacing. However, they could not tell me when this would be fixed. Apparently the washer pump is on backorder. I was told to use a "long squeegee" in the mean time. However, not being able to use the washer fluid greatly affects visibility in my state (wv) in January with the use of road salt. It has been 2 weeks today and I still have not been updated on when they may be able to resolve this issue.
