May 12th. I returned my courtesy loaner and drove home… I hooked up my trailer and drove 15 more miles to pick up my grandson to help me with a project. I was happy that my truck was back and working (having a trip to Burlington VT on Tuesday May 16th)

When leaving his house, all sorts of bizarre things began to happen as we drove to his friend’s house.

Warning messages began to appear on the driver’s display screen saying, “your vehicle is not in park”, “check manual”, “Downhill Assist not operational”. Then the lights went out, the truck lost power (the engine was still running), it shifted into Downhill Assist, front windows didn’t work, passenger seat moved by itself, driver’s seat began to go back as if the truck was turned off, then it returned to driving position, the Sync display went dead and came back on, the Driver’s display shut down and came back on. All these things continued to repeat as bells sounded and messages display on the dash. I limped back to my son’s house.

I disconnected the trailer and put it on my former 2009 Expedition with 152,000 miles, that I had sold to my son when his F150 finally went belly up and I bought the Platinum. He brought the truck back to Kune’s service center Saturday while I was “Up North” working with my crew. He continued to experience the same set of issues, pulling off the road several times when the truck “lost power” before going into convulsions repeatedly.

It took days for the service team to duplicate the problem... when it did rear its head they found another harness that appeared to be the culprit. It was replaced. Kune's Ford did provide me with a car for my trip to Vermont. They also did not charge me for the work on this new problem.
