F-150 King Ranch 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

$65000 top of the line pickup and an item I rarely used broke! I don’t think I opened that sunroof a total of five times! Either too hot too cold or just plain noisy! This is my forth new Ford vehicle. 2 Crown Vic’s 1 Expedition and this truck. Very unhappy with Ford right now!

problem #1

F-150 3.5L V6 Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles

The sunroof malfunctions when opening and closing. The sunroof comes off the track or gets misaligned and will not open correctly most of the time. When it does finally open there is a loud pop sound and then it will not close without multiple attempts and manual help by pushing forward on it while it closes. The safety feature that prevents it from closing on something (such as your arm) prevents it from sliding forward all the way to close, and it reopens instead, causing you to have to try to close it again. Basically leaves the sunroof useless since you aren't sure when you might get stuck in the rain and unable to close it.
