paint chipping paint chipping paint chipping

I purchased a new 2016 F150 XLT Extended Cab from Gray Daniels Ford in Brandon, MS. I have owned the vehicle for only a little over two months. The paint is already chipping in at least three spots. I took the truck to the dealership on Monday 7/24/17 to have the issue reported and documented. I was told that the chipping was a result of rock impacts.

I own several vehicles (Nissan Pathfinder and Chevrolet Malibu) and haven't had any issues with the paint chipping due to rock impacts. I have owned the Malibu for 4 years and the Nissan for about 6 months. I also had owed a 2007 F150 for almost 7 years and I never had any problems with chipped paint. With chipped spots developing this early in the life of the vehicle, I am highly concerned about the body rusting prematurely or the chipped areas expanding. I can't imaging a Ford truck being this fragile.

I would not recommend anyone purchase this truck, especially with Ford refusing to address the chipping issue. I was not expecting the dealership to re-paint the full truck, but I was expecting some type of remedy to be offered. I was simply told they would do nothing. This seems completely unfair to the consumer and shows a flaw with the quality of this truck. I will definitely pursue a legal remedy if Ford continues to refuse to address the issue.
