PURCHASED ANN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM CARMAX TO COVER ANT ISSUES FOR 100,000 MILES FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. IM JUST FINDING OUT NOW THEY WANT TO DENY COVERAGE DUE TO 5 YEARS IS UP....NOT ONCE WAS A DATE EVER MENTIONED BECAUSE I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHSED EXTENDED WARRANT. IT STILL HAD THE FACTORY WARRANTY FOR TWO MORE YEARS AT THE TIME.

I PURCHASED IT WITH A "CLEAN CARFAX" TO FIND OUT IT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD LEAKED SO BAD IT FLOODED THE FLOOR BOARD.FOUND OU IT HAD AN AFTERMARKET WINDOW INSTALLED WHICH WAS LEAKING BADLY! PAINTERS TAPE WAS FOUND ON REAR UNDERSIDE AS WELL AS RIGHT FRONT FENDER ON REAR. i LATER HAD IT IN FOR ALIGNMENT TO FIND OUT IT HAD AFTERMARKET BALL JOINTS INSTALLED BEFORE I BOUGHT IT CONFIRMING FRONT END DAMAGE AND A PRETTY BAD CRASH TO DO THIS DAMAGE ON A 4WD TRUCK. PROBLEMS HAVE CONTINUED WITH HAVING UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND BALL JOINTS REPLACED;. ITS BEEN IN3 DIFFERENT SHOPS AND PROBLEMS JUST CONTINUE UNTIL NOW THEY TELL ME MY COVERAGE EXPIRED A MONTH AGO!

F-150 Lariat 3.5L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,410 miles

On my way to work took a left turn to the interstate on ramp and steering temporarily locked up/stuck in the turned position for a second or two and returned to normal the rest of the trip. At lunchtime operation was pretty normal except for slight handling difficulty. Backing out after work noticed a creaking/groaning noise as well as a popping noise felt thru the steering wheel. Pulled out onto highway and immediately noticed steering jerking (not pulling, drifting or wandering) left and right with slight bumps in the road and/or steering input. Pulled over at a gas station, turned the truck off for a few minutes and restarted with no change.

I switched off traction control and it actually did improve some the rest of my drive home. Got home, parked, turned it off. 15 minutes later got in with my 6 year old son and 15 year old niece, pulled out onto highway and steering totally locked up mid turn. Luckily it was late in the afternoon and traffic was low and we were not completely blocking the road so traffic could go around. Was able to back onto shoulder and call a tow truck.

Ford dealership found PSCM not operating properly. Steering gear was replaced. Had truck back one week and now it’s pulling/wandering/drifting left and right randomly. I’ve had the truck for less than 2 months, I traded in a 2016 F-150 for this EXACT SAME PROBLEM and got ANOTHER ONE JUST LIKE IT!! Dealership says operating as designed, could not duplicate problem.
