problem #5

Nov 302019

F-150 XL 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,000 miles

As soon as I noticed the windshield washer was not working, I looked through manual to locate a fuse. There is no fuse mentioned for the washer. The temperature is not cold enough yet for it to freeze.

On top of my windshield wipers that want to randomly go off when ever they want, I went to clean off my window from the salt and dirt and the windshield solvent wouldn't spray out so I assumed it was out...even though I just bought it on December 30th its only January 3rd. So whatever I go buy some get home have my husband go to put in the fluid and its full....so now its just not spraying because of a bigger issue.

Any suggestions?

F-150 XL 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission

This is 2019, I have had this problem every winter that I have had this vehicle. The windshield washer line freezes up randomly below 32 degrees. This should NEVER EVER happen once. It is an extreme hazard and Ford should fix this immediately.

Not a rant, just not happy that a $50,000. truck has this problem. Have to pull over the side of the road and throw snow on windshield, trying to be safe. What is the cause? What is the solution? Please respond.

Truck's not a year old yet and between the windshield washer not working and the door locks getting stuck I'm beginning to wonder if these trucks were made for our Canadian winters? Had the truck to the dealer twice and they still haven't been able to fix it properly. You'd think Ford would have this figured out by now.
