My new 2015 Focus - 200 Km - started popping the trunk lid spontaneously. Came back from a hockey game 2 days after buying it and found lid up in a public parking garage. Done it numerous times since. Dealer says, after many days with the car, that they have found that there is a tube missing - not installed - taking water from sunroof to outside. Water collecting on floor on passenger side. They think that this will deal with the issue. Maybe . . . maybe not. They think the moisture in the air causes the smart junction box to cycle the lock mechanism. Maybe . . . maybe not.

My biggest concern right now is that the moisture collecting on the floor may cause other long-range issue with the car. Things such as other electrical components shorting out or otherwise screwing up - either short term or long term; mold/mildew?????
