The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 72 MPH, the vehicle began shaking and then stalled. The vehicle was able to restart after the fifth attempt and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the EVAP system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 197,000.
