problem #3

May 022019

Transit

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,000 miles

This is the 2nd time we have had to completely replace the rear brakes. 1st time it was at 18,000 miles, less than a year ago

problem #2

Transit STD 3.2L Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,580 miles

Rear brakes went to bare metal on rotors and pads very premature. Front brakes are still good at 72000 miles or twice the mileage of original failure. Fixed at home by myself. Very difficult to do.

Transit 250 148” 3.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

2016 Ford Transit 250 3/4 ton auto with 3.7 L engine: At 30000 the brakes are shot, not the pads, the ROTORS!!! They are worn way past the point of machining! Pads are fine but I’m now stuck with replacing everything. What kind of steel is Ford using? Import pot metal from Taiwan? Really poor.
