Main fat coolant hose right behind radiator burst in huge horizontal split. No auto parts store in town had the hose, I had to order it. When hose finally arrived, mechanic installed it, but the van still overheated. Turns out coolant must be replaced in special procedure involving a vacuum pump and cycling fluid through system multiple times in order to avoid vapor lock. Van was down for a week.
