Traffic bumper to bumper as 5 pm, stop and go near traffic lights. Tapped suv ahead and despite very very slow speed and not even scratch on my 2009 HONDA ACCORD COUPE - THE DRIVERS AIR BAG DEPLOYED & Seatbelt locked up. Contacted HONDA CORPORATE where they opened case and promised -??taking care of, shouldn-??t have happened, and not to worry-??. 2 weeks later HONDA changed response when I called for update and told me to deal with my insurance company. Very unpleasant & unprofessional. Car evaluated and needed seatbelt & air bag replacement. They too confirmed not even scratch front of car, only has 83k miles! Now everyone claiming no seatbelts available.

My daughter was in an accident on 9/28/2021 and the air bag exploded and she said it burned her but it was actually some type of metal. The vehicle was inspected by the insurance company. I ended up buying the vehicle back and when the car was delivered to the repairman, it was note that is was a faulty air bag. I am not sure about the other questions as it relates to warning lamps, ect.. It has been inspected by State Farm, the car is still in my possession. I was advised to report the airbag blowout. It was stated on my Market valuation Report under Supplemental information that HONDA is recalling certain 2003-2012 Honda Accord for incorrectly installed air bag may deploy improperly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA Campaign ID 18v268000, 19v182000, 19v378000 & 19v502000.

The contact owns a 2009 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a burning odor detected prior to the illumination of air bag warning light. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence then towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic informed the contact that there was a recall for the air bag. However, when the contact contacted the dealer, the dealer informed the contact that there was no air bag recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was repaired by the independent mechanic, who replaced the air bag control unit. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN for the air bag. The failure mileage was 105,516.

The SRS unit has failed which is an acknowledged problem in some 2008-2010 Honda Accord but my particular model is not eligible for the recall. Considering the failure and the acknowledgment from Honda on this exact issue, my car should be eligible for the recall free of charge. I came to know about this problem because of the airbag indicator light being on.

The contact owns a 2009 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the passenger side air bag deployed without warning. Due to the failure, the contact temporarily lost control of the vehicle and veered of to the side of the road which caused damage to the right side of the road. A police report was filed and the contact was given a case number. The passenger in the vehicle suffered a scrape to their knee but did not seek medical treatment. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to his residence. A mechanic came to the contact's home where he informed him that there were prior recalls on the vehicle for the air bag and linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 19V502000(air bags). There are currently zero recalls on the vehicle. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Gerald jones Honda on 12/23/17 inspected "SRS lt on" and tech clifford warner wrote in invoice "no codes need SRS unit" and charged $120. The SRS light always comes on when car is turned on. I do not think it is safe air bag system. Honda Motors refuge to even talk further and it wants me get respected again and again. I had four total inspection and test results does not give any error codes. What should I do?

My wife was involved in a fender bender as well as an accident and both times the airbags did not deploy. The car had a recall in 2016. The car was taken in for the recall and the repairs was supposedly made. The car was totaled in the accident. And the airbags did not deploy causing injury's to my wife as well as her brother in the car. The insurance did not want to help with the medical bills, causing us to be in dept as well as my wife is still affected by this.

The vehicle was taken to howdy Honda (5519 E ben white blvd, austin, tx 78741, (512) 686-1544) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the diagnostic trouble code showed an open circuit within the wiring harness which caused an increased resistance in the driver's side air bag. The contact was informed that the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000.

Driver's air bag light came on. Dealer said there was an issue with the computer/receiver that causes the airbag to operate. They charged $700 to repair. My question is whether this is a safety recall that Honda should have paid for.

There were no injuries. An unknown dealer was called, but was not able to assist. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. A police report was filed. The driver and rear passenger sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was totaled and towed to a tow yard. The contact called jim coleman Honda at 443-535-0500 (located at 12441 auto dr, clarksville, md 21029) and was informed that they previously repaired the vehicle per an unknown NHTSA campaign number regarding the air bags. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and wanted the insurance company to initiate the investigation. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Couldn't get traction on light snow-covered road. Vsa light was flashing and my car wasn't responding to brake to vsa. I applied my brakes to slow down (to no avail). Now my car is out of control and proceeding down a slight incline to a stop sign...picking up speed along the way.my brakes are "to the floor" the whole time as I slide through intersection I have my steering wheel turned right. The front passenger side ended up crashing into a street sign & telephone pole. I was told by police that a car that swerved to avoid me made contact with my rear fender and my car then spun right into the poles. Also, neither front air bags deployed upon impact
