problem #2

Jun 012015

Accord Sport 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 4,984 miles

I WAS DUTIFUL IN ROTATING TIRES EVERY 4 TO 5 K MILES AND EACH TIME THE TIRE NOISE BECAME LOUDER AND MORE ANNOYING.

I TOOK IT TO LARGO HONDA FOR A CVT RECALL IN NOVEMBER AND HAD THEM ROTATE TIRES AND RE-BALANCE AFTER HEARING MY COMPLAINT ABOUT TIRE NOISE. I DROVE OFF AFTER ASSURANCE THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED. THE NOISE WAS LOUDER THEN EVER.

WENT BACK 3 WKS LATER AND HAD THEM CHECK AGAIN AFTER 2 TO 3 CALLS ABOUT PROBLEM. KEEP IN MIND I LAVE 75 MILES AWAY FROM NEAREST DEALER, SO A 150 MILE ROUND TRIP EACH TIME. AUTO WAS CHECKED AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TWO NEW TIRES AND A ALIGNMENT BUT NOT RIGHT AWAY. I DROVE AROUND THE CITY BEFORE HEADING BACK AND DECIDED TO GO BACK AND ASK WHAT THEY DID. I WAS TOLD NOTHING UNTIL ONE PERSON STEPPED UP AND SAID THE TIRES WERE TERRIBLY CUPPED DO TO A NON ADJUSTABLE REAR SUSPENSION. ESTIMATE 500 DOLLARS FOR 2 TIRES AND 100 DOLLAR FOR ALIGNMENT THAT WON'T SOLVE PROBLEM.

AFTER ARRIVING HOME I CHECKED FOR SIMILAR PROBLEMS AS MINE, AND FOUND PLENTY. THIS IS A HONDA PROBLEM, AND HONDA DEALERS ARE HIDING THIS. I WANT SATISFACTION AND HONDA DEALERS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR NOT ALERTING CUSTOMERS.

problem #1

Aug 122015

Accord

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,000 miles

My new 2015 Accord came from the factory with the camber on the rear wheels set too far off and is causing the tires to wear unevenly on the inside and causes a loud roaring sound when driving. Problem is, the rear wheels has no adjustment to set the camber. Honda won't do anything. They claim alignment isn't a warranty problem. I don mind paying to have it lined up but there is no way to adjust the camber. Have talked to several people that have had the same problem on the CRV and Civic. Seems after about 18 months they will come out with a kit you can buy for about $500 that will allow you to set camber. The 2015 hasn't come out yet. IT SHOULDN'T BE THE CUSTOMERS responsibility to have to pay for this.

Also iIwill have to put a $300 set of tires on every 12 to 15000 miles or put up with the roaring. It sounds like a tractor trailer going down the road because the tires are wobbled out with flat spots. Also found out that there was a lawsuit by a group of people a few years ago for the same problem but nothing was done then either.

I am advising everyone I know and everyone on Facebook and social media to not buy another Honda unless they own up to this problem and fix them This is a sorry company that will rip off the people like this. NEVER BUY ANOTHER HONDA
