Takata recall/NHTSA recall 16V-346 faulty airbag (passenger side) has not been replaced by Honda dealer. Was first notified of airbag defect via service receipt provided at time of service for an oil change. Date of service when the problem was first noted was Jul 1, 2016. Per recall letter, if dealer is unable to repair or replace the defect in the vehicle within 60 days of the first point of contact regarding the recall, a formal complaint may be filed. It has been 60+ days and the vehicle remains with the defective airbag. Honda states that they do not have an estimated time of repair as it could take months or even a year to fix the airbag defect. Further, I have not been offered an alternate vehicle/rental as it is a great inconvenience to indefinitely disable the passenger side of the vehicle. I continue to drive my vehicle as is.
