Description: My 2015 Honda Crosstour was having starter issues. It was repaired but your service bulletin on changing starters was not followed and I had a car that was an embarrassment as it would not always start. I brought it in and since they could not hear the problem they incorrectly accused me of “operator error”. Seriously?

Then my car died on the roadside. I called Krenzen in Duluth MN (I was a few blocks away) and they told me it was under warranty at 79,500 on 5 year 80k warranty and towed it there. I was then told the engine had too much oil in it and blamed me for 1.5 extra quarts in the crankcase and “it caused all the valves to bend over and the engine is shot”. Then I was told it was not under warranty by exceeding the 5 years by 9 days. Krenzen took apart my engine, put all the filthy car parts in my hatchback, charged me for diagnosing and towing, and then had the nerve to try to buy my car for $4000. I paid 584 every month and the engine did not last.

I am a home care nurse... meticulously changing the oil and documenting it. I still had the 5 quart bottle and it still had .5 quarts in it. There is NO way I overfilled it. I spoke with other mechanics who said the fuel pump can blow by the pistons and get gas in the oil which would be indicative of the lubrication issue that would bend the valves. Not one mechanic I spoke to said it could be caused by too much oil in the crankcase.

I have bought many Hondas in the past. I found a used engine with 38k miles on it on ebay and had a mechanic shop change it out. Total it cost me 3550. Krenzen wanted 4700+ to put an engine with 80k miles on it in it. I am a frontline nurse with long haul Covid and unable to work. This could not have come at a worse time. HONDA WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING!!!! I will never buy another Honda. My “case number” was 11692116.
