problem #2

Odyssey

  • 53,000 miles
The brakes are getting lower even with a full reservoir. After Honda dealer flushed, blead and restored the brake fluid, the vsa module failed and caused autonomous braking and worsening of pedal softening and braking control assist. This issue has been recalled with previous years and should be addressed again by NHTSA and Honda. Brakes came on while driving causing burning up of pads and rotors. Very bad smell coming from brake area.

Odyssey 6-cyl

  • 2,000 miles
On February 1, 2015, vdc (vehicle dynamic control), ldw (lane departure warning), and fcw (forward collision warning) all failed simultaneously while driving conservatively at 25 mph on snow covered roads during heavy snow fall. All three systems remained failed for the remainder of the key cycle, which was approximately 45 minutes. During other driving later that day, ldw and fcw recovered, and those lights went out on the dash, but vdc remained failed. The van sat for a week, then I drove it again on Friday February, 6, 2015, for approximately 20 miles. At the very end of that trip, the vdc recovered, and the light went off. I went to germain Honda of ann arbor, mi to have the trouble codes read. They told me there were no codes stored.
