1- Drove to the bank, the clutch pedal lost all tension, park the car; the car engine continued running. My daughter was with me. I kept car running so I could use the AC. Told security guard at bank of issue and that I would be ordering a tow to Daytona Hyundai 2 miles away.

2- I called AARP Roadside assistance, and the tow truck arrived. I was outside car and it was off. Tow truck driver asked for my keys. he said "It is so I can use the power steering to maneuver car easily."

3- Got to Daytona Hyundai service Dept. I had call ahead of time explaining that my clutch appears to have gotten disconnected from pedal. Please check.

4- First call about: We found the Clutch master cylinder was leaking.

5- Second call. I asked if the Slave cylinder was checked out. I requested replacement.

6- Got the estimate, about $1200 bucks.

7- I requested an oil change. Quoted $45 bucks.

8- There were schedule changes.

9- Got a call from a service man saying the warning lights on issue. He stated moisture got in the ICU computer pins. He would let it open to dry and it would be okay.

10- Got call from Service Manager person who stated that the car had all warning lights including the power steering. They wanted me to decide on the phone if I wanted Diagnostics or service or if I wanted to pickup car. At that time I asked for cost. He directed me to wait for a service person.

11-Service person requoted the initial Clutch issue at $989.

STILL she wants to leave car there and get charged as well as diagnostics, or pickup the car at 7:20 AM on Monday the 25th of July. Without Power steering.

I requested a report on what my car went through while in their shop. Car was in the outside of lot subject to 3 torrential rains. Shall I get counsel on this. I feel I have been damaged. Any comments? I was told about the indicator warning lights on the 20th, 22nd. and today is the 24th. The car is in the shop. They have not said if car is safe to drive without Power steering, I don't know about consequences.

Update from Jul 25, 2022: Went to pickup car 07/25/2022. I road tested car with technician. The car drove normally as is supposed to do. Tech said that some moisture got to pc contacts. They dried it out and it's ready to go...

No complaint as of now.

warnings/indicators malfunction warnings/indicators malfunction warnings/indicators malfunction warnings/indicators malfunction warnings/indicators malfunction

I bought my car in Feb 2014, since that the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator has come on several times while driving. When the ESC is on, the other indicators Air bag warning light, ABS, Parking brake & brake fluid warning light, low tire pressure telltale and electronic power steering (EPS) indicator will also take turns to come on for a while and then off for a few seconds then back on again. After I restart, ESC light will stay on and the other lights take turns to on and off. This will last several days and then back to normal.

The worst thing happened on June 24, 2015, after the lights have been on and off the day before, the electronic power steering was lost when I start my car with Air bag warning light, ABS, Parking brake & brake fluid warning light and EPS were all on. I was totally in shock by what had happened since I basically could not back out from the parking lot with the stiff steering. I restarted several times and could not work out. When I finally got to dealer, the technical turned on the car, everything was normal. They tried to get a code for me but no code showed any malfunction. I had to come back. Since then, I was driving in afraid that this may happen any time and I may lost control and cause an incident any time. I reported to Hyundai customer, the regional customer called me back 8 days later (July 2nd) and told me that the can try to schedule the local dealership to inspect my car but I had not heard back anything.

Today, on July 12, 2015, multiple indicators were on again except I have not yet lost my EPS. I had to reported to Hyundai customer service again and do not know what will be the next fix.

This is my first brand new car, I had used second car over the years from the other brands, I had never encounter this issue before. I will definitely not buy Hyundai car again. It is such an unpleasant experience.
