On 05/02/2012. I was preparing to park my 2009 Jaguar fx, came to complete stop... when it suddenly accelerated, I had the brake on, I could barely hold it back, it jumped the curb.....I could not stop that car, it was trying to climb a chain link fence... the only thing that stop the car was when I hit the steel pole...there was $8,200 worth of damage done to this car.... my son and I were not hurt, but we could have been if it would have broke thur that fence... we would have went down a embankment and might of hit a tree, or rolled over.... my husband had it towed to Jaguar deal where they said "they couldn't find a think wrong with it".. now, I have this dangerous car and I'm scared to death to drive it again.... I will had to drive it, because I have to much money in it..but, I will never allow anyone to ride in it ever again.... I will never put there lives in danger.... please, if you have one these devil cars be careful and be aware of this problem..

I was driving in a parking lot and came to a stop but the car then accelerated and I had brake hard to hold the car back. I put the car into park. When I attempted to put the car into gear again, I could not move the shifter. I turned the car off and restarted it, and the car ran fine the rest of the evening. The next day, I was again in a parking lot and as I try to park, the engine accelerates wildly. I was able to hold the car with the brakes and put it into park. Once in park, the engine continued to rev. The shifter was now stuck. I tapped the shifter and that allowed me to shift the car and the engine went to normal operation. As of 12/11, the problem has not happened again. I will be taking the car to my dealer for diagnosis.

We just bought a 2009 Jaguar Xf two weeks ago. Yesterday when pulling into the driveway, the car's engine surged and I went thru the garage door and didn't stop until I hit the kitchen cabinets, all the while, pressing on the brake. There are skid marks from the beginning of the driveway until the car stopped. No one was hurt thank god, but could have been serious if I had been on the freeway or anywhere for that matter. We had the car towed to the dealership and as of this moment, we have not heard what the reasoning is behind this engine surge.

2009 Jaguar Xf - sudden acceleration issue on three separate occasions. Driving about 20 mph and the car accelerated - able to stop the car by pressing down fully on the brakes. It did not respond at first and then something shifted and then the brakes worked. With five minutes, it did it again and the only way to stop the car was to slam it into park. The car was towed into the dealer and the black box information downloaded to the manufacturer. No fault codes found and they could not duplicate the problem. It has since done it one more time and the emergency brake stopped the car. The manufacturer is claiming that both the brake and the gas were depressed at the same time.

The contact owns a 2009 Jaguar Xf. On December 7, 2009 while the engine was on, with his foot on the brake pedal within seconds the engine began to idle excessively and the vehicle started to shake. He continued to press the brake pedal to prevent hitting the vehicle in front of him. He had to put the vehicle in neutral, then park and turned the vehicle off. He restarted the vehicle with his foot on the brake pedal and had no further incidents. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The diagnosis did not locate a failure. The failure mileage was 11,814 and the current mileage was 13,000.
