Car was in a frontal collision April 17, 2018 which totalled the car (more than $40,000 damage to front of car) and during the collision, the car emitted a spray/substance into the air on the front passenger side dash area but the airbag failed to deploy causing injuries to my wife who was riding in the front passenger seat. The vehicle was traveling at about 40mph when it struck another vehicle which failed to yield the right of way when it turned in front of us. I was a passenger in the rear passenger side seat in the collision. We were driving on a city street in san antonio, Texas. The front driver side airbag also failed to deploy failing to protect my daughter-in-law who was driving the car as we headed to my home after I had surgery that morning. I do know there is a safety recall on some Jaguar xjl models, but we, to date, have not received any information on this fact from Jaguar and I am very concerned about this, especially given the defect and poor safety performance we just experienced.
