The noise is a fairly loud whine when the engine is cold or when accelerating more than moderately, It sounds like the engine is working way too hard and something may brake or blow up. I let Paul, Pfaff's GM know about my issues within 10 days of ownership of the SUV. Is this why it took them two months to sell this SUV? I had planned on selling it in a few years but with this noise who will want to buy it?

The Pfaff dealership said all sounds are normal. Pfaff reached out to Mazda to replace the SUV however Mazda declined as Pfaff didn't find anything wrong. Pfaff have not provided paperwork for the visit on Sept 21 2018 even though I requested it. Pfaff is about 100 miles from me so I took a day off work and stayed overnight in a nearby hotel to try to get this resolved.

When I let the Windsor Dealership know about the engine noise they said it can be looked at when the Mazda Rep. drops by in about 3 weeks as they are on vacation.

I'm not so sure how much faith I can put in Mazda's statement "Your complete and permanent satisfaction is of primary concern" on page 7 of the 2018 Warranty Information booklet.

Update from Oct 20, 2018: So I have a brand new SUV that sounds way to loud when it is started, it squeaks when put in gear, makes a constant whining roar going down the road. The steering wheel heater won't stay warm and it makes a rubbing sound when turning it quickly. The London Pfaff dealership says everything is normal.
