Bought a new Mazda 3 and on the second week could hear a rattling or jiggling sound from trunk. Thought it was just something I put there like jumper cables, tools, spare tire, jack, etc.Decided to take everything out and it was still there. Took it to the Dealer and they tore it apart and finally after 5 hours said the rear shocks need replacing. I drove a Corolla for 10 years and never replaced the shocks, how can a new car need the shocks replaced?? Several people at my work own Mazda 3s and they have the same rattling from the trunk. I wonder if all new 3s need new shocks? Other than this the car has been great.
