MAZDA3 I Grand Touring Hatchback 2.0L Skyactiv

  • Manual transmission
  • 75,000 miles

I've experienced some problems with the manual transmission not staying in gear. Repair shop diagnosed defective shift/clutch control cable (Mazda Part No. BFD1-46-500). Problem? There are no replacement parts to be had anywhere in North America (or anywhere else we know of). Mazda North America will not give us or the dealer an ETA on when the part will be available. I've called some other parts houses and dealers in different parts of the country, who all confirm the absence of these replacement parts. Meanwhile, the car is not drivable. (We've tried ebay and salvage yards, even though that's not ideal. Still no luck.)
