problem #1

Dec 042015

GLA250 ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,523 miles

Problem happened while driving on the highway, car started to stall, sign went on ( transmission not able to shift into reverse) I was able to drive the car home it nearly stalled a couple of times. The dealership picked up the car the next morning, later in the day they called to say it was not transmission problems but a software glitch. A day later they said they had it fixed but would like to test drive it some more. It is now the 27th of Dec and it's still not fixed. They told me that they have to go to Mercedes in Germany and see if they have a software fix. Of course that will not happen until the new year. I suggested they take the car back and sell me a new one and they will if I anti up another $10,000 bucks. I guess I will wait and see. If its a software problem I would guess every GLA 250 out there could have the same thing go wrong. Happy New Year

Update from Jan 11, 2016: Car was repaired under warrantee. Received it back Jan 3rd, 16. in for repair close to a month. Problem was in the software. Found a solution back at Mercedes in Germany. They claim its the only car they found with this software problem.
