problem #1

Cooper Olympic Limited Edition 1.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 11,500 miles

Car was serviced, told there was an oil leak but this was a 'known problem' (after 11500??) but that's a different story!). But that the brake pads needed replacing as there was only 450 miles left showing on the computer (wrong by 7500k miles). I questioned this because of the low mileage I'd done and said I would NOT like this done at the same time as the service because my mileage is so low that it would be another 10 weeks roughly before it was critical. Thank goodness I didn't go ahead because they then checked the computer and said it was reading wrongly. It would need resetting.

They couldn't do it that day because it would need to start first thing in the morning as could take 4 hours. Booked it in for another day, had it there for 9.30 and at 4.30 pm was told it still hadn't reset and needed to be run overnight and should be OK in the morning. It was. You can build a complicated website and have it up and running for orders quicker than that!!!
