Outback Limited 3.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 35,000 miles

3.6R engine with upgraded CVT. At around 30k car has shudder when decelerating from 25-45 mph. EVERY TIME. Noticeable on smooth roads. Have had in shop 3 times for same problem. I think it needs a new torque converter, but Subaru USA will not repair. They replaced transmission module with no fix for problem. The last time in shop they said "Just Live With it!" HA! Subaru should have stepped up and fixed this even if it needed a new transmission. I own 3 Subarus as well. I think the 2.5 transmission is fine. The 3.6 engine transmission is the bad one. Stay away.
