I bought a BMW on November 3rd and within 48 hours on the 5th of November at 6:30 the engine seized while the car was driving when I took it to BMW they did a carfax on it, it said the car had 197,000 miles on it and the car was listed with 97,790 miles and the odometer still says 97,000 and the transmission is also slipping because it had 197,000 miles on it and the font headlights won't work.

Years of my 335D overheating and stalling and dealer cant figure out the issue. I-??ve replaced injectors, done carbon blasting, replaced nox sensor, replaced whole battery/electrical components. Just recently replaced the all belts, hoses, and egr module to avoid catastrophic results. After removing the components you can see fluids got mixed and even got into my turbo all because of the egr was leaking. So many identical issues resulted in recalls from BMW for almost every single model from early 2000S to new models due to faulty egrs, except the 2011 335D. And of the nearly 1 million vehicles recalled by BMW this year alone, only the 2011 335D is not recalled for faulty PCV and egr which was finally determined by the dealer to be the cause of my overheating, black particles coming from the exhaust, melted plastic under my hood, and disgusting smell from air vents. There are numerous complaints regarding this same exact vehicle with the same exact issues on NHTSA and nothing is being done. Only when these cars catch on fire and result in a casualty will BMW finally add all model types to their recall lists. For now they will keep adding models one by one, pretending they do not have an extremely dangerous issue with all their cars. Ridiculous.

While driving the car will automatically go into neutral. When idle too the car goes into neutral and you can't shift into drive. When driving on the highway it hits neutral and the car redlines, the car will coast down the highway until it hops back into gear

The 2011 vehicle with less than 65,000 miles normal runs at highway speed in a range of 2K rpms. A warning regarding the transmission immediately caused the car to rev up to 5K RPM (very high for a diesel engine sedan) and the speed reduces 30-40mph while driving. It is incredibly scary and dangerous. Assumed this was a one-off. Pulled to the shoulder, turned off the car and it ran fine. Took it to BMW for inspection and they said they could not diagnose the problem but would replace the transmission and charge me more than half the value of the car. The issue has since repeated and is very dangerous to all on the road.

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 335I. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V067000 (powertrain); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was unable to confirm when the parts would be available. The contact was advised to bring the vehicle to the dealer for inspection before the remedy parts would be ordered. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

BMW 335D automatic with approx 60K miles. While driving on the highway at approx 60 mph, the vehicle suddenly began to make noise, shake violently and fill with smoke. The passenger side curtain airbags went off from the violent shaking. My husband piloted it across 2 lanes of traffic to the shoulder. The center console and shifter were lifted up several inches. We were shocked that we did not wreck. We set the emergency brake and called BMW roadside assistance. It was towed to the nearest dealership. The dealer said it was 100% mechanical failure and the driveshaft broke and caused significant damage to the transmission and that they could not repair it.

The vehicle stalled while accelerating through an intersection and stranded me in the intersection. I was unable to restart the car at first. It would not even crank. After several minutes of attempting to restart the car it finally responded and started. It stalled 4 more times driving a short distance to get the vehicle off the road. Car went in for service Thursday the 31th and was returned to me Saturday the 1st of August. Stalling issue is back and the car is now being towed in for service again. This is an extremely dangerous issue. There was another 335D in for service at the dealer also experiencing stalling issues!!!!!
