Years of my 335D overheating and stalling and dealer cant figure out the issue. I-??ve replaced injectors, done carbon blasting, replaced nox sensor, replaced whole battery/electrical components. Just recently replaced the all belts, hoses, and egr module to avoid catastrophic results. After removing the components you can see fluids got mixed and even got into my turbo all because of the egr was leaking. So many identical issues resulted in recalls from BMW for almost every single model from early 2000S to new models due to faulty egrs, except the 2011 335D. And of the nearly 1 million vehicles recalled by BMW this year alone, only the 2011 335D is not recalled for faulty PCV and egr which was finally determined by the dealer to be the cause of my overheating, black particles coming from the exhaust, melted plastic under my hood, and disgusting smell from air vents. There are numerous complaints regarding this same exact vehicle with the same exact issues on NHTSA and nothing is being done. Only when these cars catch on fire and result in a casualty will BMW finally add all model types to their recall lists. For now they will keep adding models one by one, pretending they do not have an extremely dangerous issue with all their cars. Ridiculous.

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 335I. While the vehicle was idling at a red light, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. Also, "vehicle operating at reduced power level" displayed on the instrument panel. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that this was the third time the failure occurred. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic who determined that the high pressure fuel pump failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000.

Long crank times to start the engine. Had it diagnosed by an mechanic who determined the high pressure fuel pump was failing. He also was able to determine that this particular problem existed in years 2007,2008,2009, and 2010. He was sure BMW would replace the pump since those years had been granted an extension on that part to 10 years and 100,000 miles. When I took the car to the BMW dealer I was informed that my car was "too new" and would not be included in the warranty extension. I pointed out that was clearly the same issue as the previous four years, but they said no. I contacted BMW North America, and discussed the matter with them to no avail. I had the faulty pump replaced out of my own funds. I filed a complaint with the bureau of automotive repair in California, who did an investigation on the complaint, but closed the matter out. They suggested I file a complaint with your department in hopes that eventually 2011 models will be included in the warranty extension and I could get some sort of refund on the known faulty pump. The car was stationary while long crank times were noted. Replacing the high pressure fuel pump has solved the problem.

My vehicle has been diagnosed with a bad high pressure fuel pump. After doing research online I found that BMW had a recall for engines N54. I'm having the same exact issue as the N54, my engine is the N55. My car is not usable and BMW does not want to acknowledge this is on my N55 engine. BMW clearly acknowledges that the manufacturing of these high pressure pumps were bad they should have a recall done for the N55. What I am looking is for BMW to cover this issue.

I was driving in a parking lot at about 5mph, and the vehicle suddenly stopped on its own while I was still pressing the accelerator. I continued to press the accelerator, but the vehicle would not move. After 3 or 4 minutes of trying to determine what the issue was, I put the car in park and restarted the engine. The car was able to accelerate once I turned the car off and restarted. If this would have happened while in traffic, it would have put many people at risk. No one was harmed because I was in a walmart parking lot traveling at 5mph when the car stalled, but I am unsure what caused this to occur. This situation seems to be related to the national highway traffic administration's recall number 14V176000, as it describes what I experienced while driving the vehicle.

I was driving when my car immediately shut off almost causing me to get hit from behind. Luckily, there was a gas station for me to quickly pull into and get out of the lane before completely coming to a halt. I'm confused as to why there isn't a recall on the 3 series. This is can cause fatalities.

In 2017 my son was driving on the interstate 91 highway when his front driver tire rod broke off. Bolts were missing both driver and passenger sides. Tires went out and it could have caused a tragedy this happened on a Friday night. We paid to have the wheels and tires repaired and replaced. I provide the receipts to the BMW dealer ship but they were never honored or reimbursed. We paid to have waterpump replacement because. In July 2017 the air conditioning was blowing hot air. In Nov. 2017 the heating system was blowing cold air. Feb 2018 blower was still not working, when I found out that there were (recalls). We waited almost 4 months for recalled blower was replaced, we paid for themostrate replacement but still had no heat. Car won't start. So we paid for the battery to be tested and registered. Shortly after the car started leaking coolant again April 2018. Defected water pump. April 2018 electric system. I drove the car to BMW dealerships, for fuel leakage now the dealership service dept. Is telling me that the car won't start!!! and that the starter needs replaced. We have not had any previous issues with the starter. And I have already spent nearly $4,000 within the past 5 months for things that I believe I should not have. Please investigate. In November 2017 the car was overheating

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 335I. While driving various speeds and accelerating, the speed decreased and the message "engine pressure reduction" appeared. In addition, while driving 40 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to niello BMW in elk grove, California where the high pressure fuel pump was replaced along with the asa bolts. In regards to the vehicle stalling, the coolant pump and the water pump were replaced. Furthermore, the dealer found a leak in the seal of the radiator and diagnosed that it needed to be replaced. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in the recalls related to the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Vehicle has been experienced cold start issue since about a year ago, it cranks and start up fine however the engine RPM will drop and struggle to stay at idle, engine eventually will stall within 2-3 seconds. Last week while waiting at a traffic light on a local street, the engine stall on its own, check engine light came on but went away after a minute, I managed to restart and drove to destination. This was the first experience of stalling during normal driving and first incident which the check engine light comes on. Brought a car to a independent BMW technician and fault code was indicating high pressure fuel pump was the source of stalling.

Since the name did not allow "D" in it. This is actually a 335D - diesel car. Service engine light came up. The code P02ce (cylinder 2 fuel injector offset learning T min limit) the issue is this is a reoccurring problem for me and now starts to happen every 6 months. Last one was in July 2016. Looks like some defective system. Please let me know how I can handle this scenario. The barely has 35K miles.

In the short period of time I've owned my 2011 335xi, I have had to -have the tire pressure monitor reset to factory settings because it kept coming on even though my tires were fine. Disconcerting at best when you're a single woman commuting at high speeds every day on a turnpike in traffic. -continually replace burned out daytime running or rear brake bulbs -deal with an ongoing surge or lurching when I start from a stop, worse when the A/C is on, that repair shops still can't pinpoint -replace the front control arm bushings -replace the water pump and thermostat (and worry about possible engine damage from the overheated engine; car had to be towed on my way home from work) -replace the starter -replace the engine tension belt -I will soon have to replace leaking oil filter housing gasket -and I have a probable radiator leak, as I'm refilling coolant approximately every 4 weeks (to the point where I keep a gallon of it in my trunk, with a funnel, for when the light comes on) to date, in the two years I've owned this vehicle (I bought it off-lease), I've already spent almost $5,000 on what should be completely unnecessary repairs for a high-end vehicle.

This is a know fault problem that is directly tied to emissions of the deisel engine starting at 2008-2012 for all BMW deisel engines. Maybe even newer models. This so called scr temperature sensor that is located inside the def (urea) tank fails, which in term fails the smog inspection if it is not replaced. Some owners and dealers have replaced this tank/sensor ( which is one part together, cant buy separately) under emissions warenty. But most dealers will deny the fact this system is the primary system of emmission. And if it's not working how intended I'm sure emissions of this car won't meetc the federal or state requirment. Please look into this and get this fixed/ added to the emmission system failure list.

I ordered a brand new 2011 BMW 335I xdrive and it was delivered on April 19, 2010. The 2011 model year came out early. On Feb 20, 2012 I had a difficult time starting the engine after sitting overnight...it would take too long to start, cranking for a long time. Brought it to BMW in warwick ri and they ran short tests and found nothing wrong. Another time I would smell a strong odor of gasoline and I was not by any gas stations or other cars. Brought it to the same service center and they could not find anything wrong. Another time my car stalled out unexpectedly, but was able to start it again. This week on May 21st 2015 dropped the car off to have another tire replaced because I hit a pothole (8 tires replaced in 34,500 files, 4 replacement tires due to potholes). I also complained about the car taking too long to crank over 1st time in the morning. They kept the car overnight and their technician had the same starting problem that I experienced and they ran a diagnostic. They said the high pressure fuel pump and the fuel rail pressure sensor had to be replaced. The service advisor said it was a two-part repair. He said BMW would cover the $885 high pressure fuel pump but I would have to pay for the fuel rail pressure sensor which was $391. If this takes two parts to repair, then why isn't BMW paying for both parts? I called BMW headquarters in woodcliff lake NJ for a resolution but I was told I would have two wait up to 5 business days for an answer. I found many BMW blogs online complaining about high pressure fuel pump failures and repeated failures after the high pressure fuel pump was replaced. My car has less then 35,000 miles on it. The 2011 BMW 335I xdrive with the N55 engine should be included in the previous recall since they use the same high pressure fuel pump as previous year models that were recalled and BMW should pay for the full repair
