Low beam lighting is extremely dangerous! the low beams are on but appear to be nothing more than running light. This is a known problem and GM needs to fix it before someone dies!

My 2014 Cadillac Srx headlights have continued to get more and more dim to the point they are almost unsafe on low level (dim). I have tried everything short of replacing the headlight unit which is extremely expensive. After reading complaints on the internet it seems this is a common problem and GM refuses to address the issue. The car is out of warranty. To me this is as bad a safety issue as airbags. This occurred over a year period and is getting progressively worse.

I purchased this 2014 Srx in April of 2017. Within a few days of purchase, noticed how dim the hedlight were, and became concerned, this was nver brought up with salesperson. Of course, it was purchased in daylight hours. Salesperson never once mentioned the defective headlamp issue that my husband and I found some days later while driving at night, but called dealershp and brought to their attention of us not being able to hardly see in front of us while driving in darkened areas at night, ie, neighborhood, low traffic areas, country roads, etc....highways were well lit at night, not problem. Called and brought into dealership where purchased, (Buick dealership)service dept.checked lights out, adjusted them, fouind nothing wrong, we even called to Cadillac dealership, they didn't have any problems/recalls, oh, but will replace lamps for $1800.no thanks, very disgusted and cannot find anyone to admit this problem, so we are deathly scared to drive at night for safety issues of killing ourselves trying to get somewhere. Have heard or read online (?) that the 2010 through 2015 were the years of defective headlamp issues, but someone please tell me why......no recalls on this issue"? I just want some answers, and this happening on a Cadillac, really??" very dissappointed and disheartened about this!!! no help in paradise!!! no one will admist to these defective headlamps. No matter where you drive, how or when, it is the same low dim lit light, if we put our brights on, I am afraid of being shot or pulled over and beat up!! we are in our 70's and 80's. just wanted a reliable and safe vehicle, have always driven Cadillac, but this "takes the cake". sad in Texas. (do not know what mileage was, being 3.5 years ago)

The low beams on my car are very dim and I cannot see to drive at night. I had the headlights replaced and the covers cleaned thinking that may be an issue. After research, I saw that this was an issue with this model. I took the car to the dealer and they stated it is not covered under warranty inspite of seeing many complaints and a class action law suit against GM.

The headlight range on my 2014 Srx is so bad that I was hardly able to see the road at night while driving thru the black hills of South Dakota on rte 16 this past weekend. The people in the car with me noticed the lack of light range and suggested I look into replacing my headlights. I was white knuckled the entire drive. It's a miracle we are still alive.

Purchased a pre-owned 2014 with 69,000 miles. The low beam headlights didn't illuminate, but the high beams were great. I replaced the low beam bulbs and some light now hits the road, but not nearly enough. It appears that the glass sphere in front of the bulbs is gray and not allowing light to pass thru. The dealer should not have sold the car in this condition.

The headlights of the Cadillac Srx (2014) are so dim that you cannot see the road in front you at night/early morning. It is a huge safety concern. There needs to be a recall on these headlights. My bulbs have been tested and are fine. It is a design flaw in the vehicle. Please investigate the problem and hold Cadillac/GM responsible! attached are photos taken from inside the vehicle in the early morning hours and late evening hours.

We purchased our 2014 Cadillac on 7/3/2019. Carfax check out great. 5 days later we left town at 9:30 pm for a MINIvacation. It was getting dark. We thought the lights seemed pretty dim, but then again it wasn't completely black outside at this point. As it proceeded to get darker we started to get extremely frightened it was like driving with dim flashlights. The high beams work fine but the low beams do not! ! I got online to see if there was a problem with this and it turns out there are several complaints and a class action lawsuit in California !!! I called the Cadillac dealership and they acted like they had never heard of this! we seriously thought we were going to be in an accident that night. What is it going to take for Cadillac to take responsibility for this are several people going to have to die? not a great way to drive on the freeway or in town. We did both.

Front headlights are out. They have always been very dim and have gotten worse with time. GM was sued by several customers and they were supposed to offer free reimbursement for replacing the parts. Letters sent only received by few people. GM refuses to take responsibility for the defective vehicles they manufactured from 2010-2015, all having the same issues. Vehicle is useless at night. Safety hazard. Dimmitt cadlllac in clearwater, Florida is not taking responsibility either, although they have been aware of the problem for over 2 years. Dimmitt failed to inform the clients a 90-day window to repair was offered pursuant to a letter most customers did not receive, even when my vehicle was taken within the window period for oil change. The consensus is that GM manufactured defective seals around the headlights which allow moisture/condensation to get in damaging the lights. Vehicle cannot be driven at night as lights are off. This is not a one time event. It's an ongoing situation that GM refuses to correct and/or issue a recall even though all Cadillac Srx 2010-2015 have the same problem.

Cadillac Srx low beams lights are extremely dim. Provides very little visibility at night. It almost looks like the car is running on day lights only, even though the low beams are on. It is extremely dangerous and needs to be remedied asap. I have had the bulbs tested and the mechanic says they are fine. It is just the way they are placed in the vehicle. I am terrified to drive at night, but this is my only vehicle and I do not have the funds to replace it right now.
