I've had my 2017 Chevy Cruze since August 2017. Not long after buying it, I began noticing this "squeaky" type of rattling coming from somewhere above my head on rough roads, which as we all know are everywhere these days. After months of wanting to tear my hair out, I narrowed it down to the area of the interior dome light. I climbed in the back seat and pressed the headliner extremely firmly all around the light. It seems to have eliminated the the "squeaky" type of rattle and is now just a plain old rattle. Once or twice a week, I have to climb in the backseat and press the headliner back in place to relieve the incessant rattling for a little while. But it always comes back. Once in a while, while driving, if it starts to bug too much, if I punch the headliner real quick from the driver seat, it shuts it up for a few minutes at least.
