Impala 2LT 3.6L V6

There is hesitation in the transmission when going from about 50mph down to 30mph. You feel a hard shifting like someone is pushing the car from behind and it is annoying. I thought it would disappear after breaking the engine. But right now I am at about 17k miles and the problem is still occurring.
