Regarding the takata recall, I received recall notice 49151 from GM on 7/2016 for my Chevy truck. It said "you will be notified when parts are available..." that was well over a year ago! I spoke with GM customer service today on 10/14/2017 about this and all the young man said was that there is nothing to worry about. Evidently GM and takata are in some kind of disagreement over the airbag issue while my family driving around in a vehicle with defective airbags. Also, the dashboard by the passenger airbag compartment cracked about 6 months ago and this really concerns me. Please help!
