The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. When the contact attempted to start the vehicle, it shifted into neutral and became stuck in that gear. The vehicle was towed to carlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of tupelo (966 cross creek dr, Saltillo, ms 38866, (662) 842-2277), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 40,000.

Tamara recall I have a 200S model purchased brand new. I first started having issues with the car maybe 20,000K miles in. When the car is sitting in park the transmission slips and automatically goes into neutral, then forces the car to be set in park. At this point the car cannot be moved and just shows the check transmission light. This particular incident has happened 3 times. On numerous occasions the car has lost power while in motion, the car also struggles to go into the next gear almost daily. I have been to the same Chrysler that I purchased the car from numerous times. The first time my computer needed to be updated, the second time it was the transmission module, 3-5 it was an update now I'm back to the module acting up. The transmission light just came on again yesterday, I wake up today and the light is gone and of course Chrysler tells me the can't do anything without a code being present. I've lost so many days of work with this car it's ridiculous, and since the car holds no value I'm stuck with negative equity!!! please help

Vehicle is very unsafe to drive in situations that require left or right hand turns into traffic. Extremely unreliable acceleration! vehicle will lose power in middle of turn with oncoming traffic. Several near misses when attempting to make a left-hand turn in multi-lane highways. Simply put, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. Dealership has serviced this vehicle multiple times with no resolution. This issue is an everyday occurrence.

The contact disconnected the battery to turn off the vehicle. Upon restarting the vehicle, it would not turn off and was stuck in the neutral gear. The failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The contact purchased a new battery, as recommended by an independent mechanic, but the failure recurred. A dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to perry Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (2340 national city blvd, national city, ca 91950, (619) 477-1234) where it was diagnosed that the transaxle wiring harness and the battery dead cell failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

I have a file with a complete timeline with the incidents upon request. I am now beginning to really loose any faith in the Chrysler product and the corporate office. Still under power train warranty. But this last recall has thrown me over the edge of considering new company. I had an appointment with local dealership Chrysler for the safety recall that is still open. They couldn't get me in for 3 weeks. I make appointment bc my car keeps loosing ot power and dies or almost dies/.my car lost all of its power while I was driving down the freeway at a constant moving pace with other cars. My car looses all power and I cant even steer the steering wheel and I work into the middle lane. Where freight liner almost hits me in the [xxx] end and swerves to miss me and overcorrects and winds up almost going over the bridge with a concrete wall saving him from ending up on the lower freeway. Once we got through the shock of what just happened. I try to get car to start. It wont even kick over and I cant get it ot if neutral. I call Chrysler corporate bc if I could have gotten the recall fixed sooner this would have been prevented. They tow to Chrysler and we wait 2 more weeks while they get to the car. Meanwhile I am having to pay everyday for a rental car. Which was over $500 and I am a single divorced parent of 2 children. 1 child recently passed from a rare disease at age 7 and my only son just started college in conway and I am so proud and want to support him in this move. At the end of 2 weeks I go to pick up the car and I am billed for 300 for a new battery and diagnostic test. I ask about the safety recall & why is was not done when that is the xavcrt reason we made the appointment? they overlooked that and needed to go do that. This whole experience cost me more than $1000. With time I had to leave work and all their calls to the Chrysler. Takata recall when I drive my car (especially on the highway when accelerating) it seems to not want to shift into gear. It makes a weird sound like it's trying but it doesn't shift until I hit about 62 mph. One time I was driving and stopped at a red light and when I tried accelerating my gear went all the way into the red and I had to pull over shut my car off and completely restart it. Also sometimes when I brake, it seems like it accelerates first and then slows down. I've tried having someone look at it but it just so happens it didn't do it when someone test drove it. It does it 9/10 times for me though. I received a letter about a recall but I can't find it which is the only reason I had looked into this situation more. It seemed like many cars of my make model and year were doing exactly what I had been trying to explain to the body shop however when I put my VIN in to check, it said my car had zero open recalls. I still wanted to make a report just in case it had been missed.
