Have an Chrysler 2005 300 C and with the proper cleaning and maintenance. The vehicle's paint has defect's which require a full body paint job. This vehicle is in perfect condition. Other than the paint and the turn signal was working fine until they replaced the driver side air bag. Now, the turn signal has an malfunction. The paint issue will require at the utmost $5,000 in repair to the car owner to which insurance doesn't cover. If there was a defect which cause the clear coating and the paint to "not last " this issue should have been discovered prior to date. The Mercedes paint last longer than the year's we've owned this vehicle.

Comments the dash lights and the headlights flicker off and on at night. They come on in the off position and turn off in the on position. This has been going on for almost a year. I have not had it checked out for fear that it will be costly. Anyone have suggestions on a resolution? dash, interior lights, door locks, and trunk. Don't work trouble lights all flash then headlights and dash lights go out. I turn the headlight switch from "auto" to "manual" and the headlights come back on. Dash lights continue to flicker intermittently but at least I can drive it - afraid this switch trick will quit working one night while I'm on an unlit country road! 2005 Chrysler 300 189,000 mi, the dash lights and the headlights flicker off and on at night. They come on in the off position and turn off in the on position. This has been going on for almost a year. On going issue...concern that this could be a safety issue to myself and the public.

My headlights flickers on and off. This hazard almost caused me to have a serious accident. The lights goes from dim to off at any moment while I'm driving or if my car is standing still. Also, my signal lights began flashing out of control. Sometimes other drivers can see that I' signaling to turn and sometimes they can't. I've been told that my lights are fine. Evidently, this is one of Chrysler's defects. In addition, I've trouble with my front end wheels on my car. I've had to get the bearing that keeps your car going straight while driving replaced.

When I turn on the headlights, the headlights and interior lights flash in intensity, and brightness. The result of this hazard is that it distracts the driver of my car, and any driver on the road who come into view of the Chrysler 300. This condition is amplified by switching head lights from low to high beam. The Chrysler corporation has been aware of this problem since january12, 2005. This is a serious hazard and affects the safe operation of this vehicle. Why hasn't there been a recall to give relief and safety in this matter"??????????????????????????????????????"

The vehicle's headlights, dash, and interior lights would flicker, sometimes they would just shut off without warning. Cold start, idling, accelerating, and while braking. There is a tsb (18-003-05) detailing this issue. This is obviously a safety related issue and repairs should be handled by the manufacturer.

Purchased this car in 2012 with a 3 month warranty. 1 month later lights started flickering occasionally. Then while driving 60 mph on local highway lights went out totally. Pulled off road and waited until they came back on. Took back to where I purchased it, they took it to Chrysler dealer and I was told it was "reprogrammed". no problems until last night when lights started flickering again. Just a matter of time before they go out totally again at night driving down some dark country road. This is a dangerous situation and hopefully no one will get killed before I can get this car back to a dealership, and this time I will have to pay for it myself. Apparently Chrysler has no interest in providing a permanent fix for this problem.

While driving my headlights and interior lights will just turn off. This is very dangerous. I have found other Chrysler owners on the website with the same issue. Please help. Below is what I found on the website. 1. I have a 2005 Chrysler 300 touring and over the weekend on Saturday night I was out driving down the highway and my headlights began to flicker & completely went out! when the lights went out it was for a moment but at night without headlights (on a dark road) a few seconds, etc. Seems like an eternity. Than they started to flicker off/on and go out again, before they stayed on; like this expensive car that I paid my money for should be doing. It is a danger that could very well cause an accident!! if not a recall than Chrysler should have the professional courtesy to send out a letter about this hazardous/dangerous defect that requires us to pay for this so-called unforeseen deficiency! no one from a corporate stand point can say that this is a dangerous and we should send letters too besides posting it on the internet (not everyone is internet savvy). I feel that when the car was built this problem should have been foreseen and I am not pleased with the way Chrysler, as a whole entity, is attempting to resolve this defect. [xxx] 2. I love my 300 had it since it was brand new.. last month I notice my lights blinking in the middle of the day when I was behind a big truck. Since then it appears to happen almost everytime I start the car and tends to go away after 30 minutes of running. At night it is very dangerous. The lights will blink and sometimes go completely off.. when I turn them off they come back on..then go out again I turn the switch and they come back on.. sometimes the dash lights also go completely out and other times they go from dim to bright and back to dim. While driving my 300, all the dash board lights will come on and the gauges will go all the way up, then back down. Almost as if I were just starting the vehicle. All will go back to normal quickly and my car never looses power. This may happen 10-15 times in 5 minutes. Now, the headlights will come on by themselves and go off several times. I can't drive my vehicle at night as I don't want the lights to go out on me. I feel sorry for the people in front of me as my car keeps turning the lights on and off. This is a serious safety issue. I have already read about several of the same problems and Chrysler isn't worried about their customers safety or looking into this issue. This should have been a recall as many complaints and issues there are out there. I would like to see Chrysler step up and take some responsibility for their product. After talking to the service manager at the dealership, he said that it could be the power distribution in the truck. It is a very expensive part to replace for a could be problem. It can't been tested as the problem happens so fast, they wouldn't be able to hook it up to the machine to read the problem. Having 4 daimler Chrysler vehicles, I would like to think that they would take care of their long time customers and look into the issue. This is a major safety issue and I would like to see a recall.
