The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start after several attempts with the STOP/START unavailable message displayed on the instrument panel. The contact replaced the battery however, the failure returned soon after each battery replacement. The contact also stated that the vehicle independently accelerated while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the vehicle also stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal. The service shifter and service electronic stability system warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle would not accelerate above 25 MPH while driving. The contact was forced to use the hazard lights and slowly drove the vehicle back to her residence. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V348000 (Electrical System) and 18V395000 (Electrical System, Equipment). I have twin boys, I let them out of their car seats after returning from daycare. I took bags in my house and returned to find my door off the upper track and hanging from the lower attachment causing much stress to the bracket and and scratching my exterior paint. From the door opening and closing so many time off the track. This occurred after my son said he hit that button on the door a few times. This door could of easily fallen off or hurt one of my sons. Very scary! Also I found numerous other Pacifica forums that say the side windows have broken on there vehicles after this same type of event has happened. I am very concerned, this is my daily driver for all 3 of my sons who are all under 4yrs old. This heavy door could of caused serious damage to one of my sons. Please help me resolve this problem. Also now I have scratches on my paint from the door going back a forth which is visible from the outside.

The wiring harness on the sliding doors allow the wiring to become frayed and makes the door not close properly. See YouTube videos on this model car door malfunctioning. When attempting to close the door, the door closes and then reopens until you repeatedly close it.

I tried to start my Chrysler Pacifica in the morning. The car would not start, and all of the vehicle's dashboard warning lights came on at different times when i pressed the On/Off ignition button. There was no clear, or coherent error message being displayed about what was wrong with the vehicle. Every warning light came on and off. The vehicle's computer module appeared to have malfunctioned. I was finally able to start the car, and brought it to the dealer for checking. The dealer informed me it was simply a low battery problem, but could not explain to me why all of the warning lights on the dashboard and console came on and off. Nothing in the owner's manual explained this sort of issue. I feel very unsafe with this vehicle, as the computer can display warning messages randomly, and disable the vehicle.

This just starting happening on 4/10/21. We had just gotten into the van and started driving, we went about 1/2 mile, it happened a total of 4 times. REPEATED, VIDEO DOCUMENTED OCCURENCES OF VEHICLE STALLING, LOSING POWER STEERING, AND LOSING ALL DRIVER-ASSIST FEATURES, TO INCLUDE TRACTION CONTROL, BLIND SPOT MONITORING, POWER STEERING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, AIRBAGS, AND OTHER SYSTEMS. THE PROBLEM HAS REPEATEDLY OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION; HAS OCCURRED ON A HIGHWAY AS WELL AS IN PARKING LOTS. THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY EXHIBIT 'HAYWIRE' BEHAVIOR, WHICH INCLUDES FUEL AND POWER GAUGES RANDOMLY FLUCTUATING UP AND DOWN, AND ALL ABOVE SAFETY SYSTEM WARNINGS INTERMITTEDLY INDICATING THEY ARE OFFLINE. IN EXTREME SCENARIOS, POWER STEERING WILL BE LOST. ADDITIONALLY, IN ONCE SCENARIO, THE 'HAYWIRE' BEHAVIOR PRECLUDED THE ABILITY TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF WITHOUT RESORTING TO DISCONNECTING HARD-WIRE BATTERY CONNECTIONS. MULTIPLE VIDEOS HAVE BEEN MADE DOCUMENTING THE BEHAVIOR. PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE WITH MANUFACTURER RESORTED IN NO CORRECTIVE ACTION DUE TO 'FAILURE TO DUPLICATE' THE ISSUE, DESPITE HAVING VIDEO SHOWING THE OCCURRENCE. ORIGINALLY BROUGHT TO DEALER AND NHTSA ATTENTION IN 2020 (NHTSA COMPLAINT #11292415). DEALER HAS DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND IN THE PAST WEEK THE ISSUE HAS RECURRED, NOW MORE CONSISTENTLY THAN THE INCIDENT PREVIOUSLY REPORTED. WITHIN THE PAST WEEK, THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED TWICE, RESULTING IN COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THE "HAYWIRE" BEHAVIOR CONTINUES, WITH PERSISTENT WARNINGS AND LOSS OF ESSENTIAL SYSTEMS, AND THE "HAYWIRE" BEHAVIOR INCREASES DISTRACTIONS BY IMPOSING FALSE BLINDSPOT WARNING INDICATOR LIGHTS AND INTERMITTENTLY CHANGING BRIGHTNESS OF THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC DISPLAYS AT RANDOM, AS WELL AS PERSISTENT AND INTERMITTENT LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY OF ESSENTIAL SAFETY SYSTEMS, INCLUDING AIRBAGS AND OTHER DRIVER SAFETY FEATURES. VIDEOS OF THE BIZARRE, "HAYWIRE BEHAVIOR" ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Steering wheel gets stuck on turns even slight ones have to pull it in correct direction. Lights on dash go off as I drive at night is terrible. Side sliding doors, back door have opened by self as I approached vehicle. Radio volume used to go up and down, same for the parking brake as I parked, it also while driving makes loud bunk noise and as it sholts like whip lash to my neck and spine. The tires loose air right away. Most important is steering and sholt. I drive for a living and these are so dangerous. Dealer in homestead acknowledged issues, but still same was told was fixed, yet I was to be charged to jyst have it checked $120, worst service ever at all 3 different dealers, customer service is terrible wait time for oul change is over 2 hrs one time. Am totally dissatisfied with this vehicle. The only good thing is the drop sests but I almost got squeezed in while moving about no sensor stops it.

30,390while cruising on interstate, (2/6/21, 3:17 pm, drizzling, 55 degrees F, at 70 mph in cruise control) instrument panel goes black, engine shuts off, power steering goes off, rt passenger window descends all the way, wipers go off, cruise goes off, gear indicator switches (on it's own from drive to neutral, to park. Coasting to side left of side of the (under construction) shoulder (rt shoulder is blocked by jersey barriers) instrument cluster comes back on. I shift from park to neutral, to drive, with no effect on drivability. I stopped off the roadway and shut off the ignition. Instrument cluster has battery and fcw warning lights on. There is a distinct smell of an electrical fire. I check under the hood to look for obvious fire sources. None are apparent. I checked the battery connection. This appears as normal for this vehicle, not tight ' but not loose either. I checked the fuse box. I did not have a fuse indicator tool with me and did not attempt to pull fuses. Seeing no obvious fire sources I shut the hood. Five minutes after stopping I tried the ignition again and the car started. The rt passenger window was to 3' short of closed, then it stopped. I pulled back on the highway and resumed the trip. The fcw warning light was still on. Cruise control was unavailable. The driver's side mirror warning indicator was on. On 2/7/21 I checked the car. All power devices on the rt front door were not active. I checked the fuses and determined that at least one had failed (F47). I attempted to replace the fuse. In doing so the rt passenger window immediately returned to the fully closed position, the fuse blew as I put it in, the smell of burning electrical wire was apparent inside the cab, but not under the hood.

Had trouble starting car. Battery was checked and said to be good. Issue stopped. 2 months later car is completely dead when I go to crank one morning. No indicator lights ever came on. Husband charged battery and it crank but still was sluggish in doing so. Again battery was tested and except not fully charged it was ok. Voltage is now all over the place. Jumping between 10 and 14.7 constantly. If I come to a complete stop it goes dead. It is currently sitting in my driveway as we try to figure out what to do.

The screen for radio and all other electronic info keeps flicking from one screen to another the whole time the engine is running. There is no way to turn it off, and it is very distracting while driving. At night time, there is no way to keep it from distracting the driver, and I have an epileptic child in the car with me, and that blinking screen has the potential to cause a seizure. The dealership charged $183 to do a diagnostic and said it was not fixable, needed a new screen, costing $1100. I have since researched it and it seems that a lot of 2017 Pacificas have this issue. I don't have $1100 to fix it, and I can't turn it off, so it is a very dangerous car for me to drive. I believe Chrysler should fix this issue.

The dashboard (instrument cluster) turns on and off by itself while the vehicle is turned off. This has been happening for the life of the vehicle. It drains the car battery prematurely. I've had to replace the battery 2 times within 3 years. Today, I was told by the service manager that this is normal. They stated that the dashboard can do this for 30mins to 1hr after the vehicle has been turned off, which makes no sense.
