Unknown, I have Pacifica 2020, it-??s reported to the dealer and to independent car repair company with electric issues. The electric issues put me and my children in danger, I have to call 911 to get them help me in the middle of the road. The car stopped suddenly putting on park and suddenly shutdown. Even did not allowed me to use the emergency light / hazard warning lights. I felt trapped and one of the toddler was inside the van with me, so it-??s out his kid in danger too. I took it to the dealership and they was not able to fix or to know the root of this issue. Just cost me money for inspection for nothing. Last time is repeating the same problem wa last night, was stuck in the middle of the night in freezing weather. I called my insurance company which was full coverage to ask road assistance, the answer was I have to wait like 6 hours till business is open. The van has been doing this before for past six months one after one. This van have electrical problems put me in danger several times.

Twice now the A/C has quit, and a short time later the Hybrid battery severely overheats and the van shuts down. This happens at highway speeds, and the vehicle loses power and shuts down. This is dangerous to have a sudden shutdown at 75 MPH. When driving in hot weather for a couple hours, the electric A/C compressor quits. On this van, the Hybrid battery is cooled by the passenger HVAC system. When the A/C quits first you feel the air from the ducts getting warm. Then you get a message on the dash for "Battery Conditioning" and a Check Engine light. If you keep driving, it stalls and will not restart until the battery cools off. It takes about 3-4 hours to get the van to move again at reduced power. If you let it cool overnight, the van drives normally until the next incident. There are trouble codes set for battery overheating, P0A7E, P1AA6, P1A9A, P1A21, P1AA2, P1A9E. There have been multiple unsuccessful attempts to diagnose the van by Chrysler dealers. Dealers can't/won't replicate this due to having to drive for approximately 2 hours in high ambient temps. The vehicle is fine in moderate or cold temps due to not needing the A/C to cool the battery, it is cooled and heated by secondary systems in those conditions. This issue is very dangerous because lithium batteries do not like extreme high temperatures, this issue could cause a thermal runaway event of the battery. Many of the codes that were set are for the battery temperature exceeding 131F (55C), which is severely hot for Li-Ion. This is much hotter than safe high temp recommendation for Li-Ion. Recall 03A for not giving warning before stalling was performed, however this issue is not the same symptom, nor the same cause as that recall. That recall involves a transmission short, not battery overheating. My van has had multiple reflashes and is up to date on all software. My vehicle was a "lemon law" buyback for the same stall issue, and was purported to have been fixed before I purchased the van.

Vehicle shut off and locked up while driving. I was leaving my neighborhood and coming to a stop to turn right on to a major road. The vehicle powered down while in motion and the ignition locked. I could not restart it, I could not turn the wheel, I could not put it in neutral. The brake pedal was pushed down and would not release. I had children in the van. I turned hazards on and rolled the windows down but due to the sun shining, other motorists could not seem to see my hazards and we were nearly rear ended. I called 911 for assistance and AAA for a tow. At some point the entire vehicle was non operational and the windows would not roll back up and the hazard lights did not work. Police were there by that time. The vehicle was towed to Larry Miller Dodge where it now sits. I also independently had AAA battery service check the battery and have been told it needs replaced but that the vehicle should not just stop and lock up mid drive. We suspect an issue with the stop/start feature or multiple issues. Date of 8/4/2023. Vehicle has 3 months remaining on original warranty and approx 23k miles.

I own a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica limited. This happened on04/15/2023 when I was sitting at a traffic light, an alarm went off. The message came up that read -??Auto/start stop not available-??, -??Hood latch open-??, -??parking brake went on automatically vehicle went from drive into Park on its own-??, the emergency brake came on and a warning light came on. I had to turn off the car and restart it. The main and auxiliary battery was replaced on November 2022.The similar issue also happened on 04/07/2023.

During the afternoon on April 10, 2023, I was merging onto I-12 in Baptist, LA. I was traveling on the roadway for no more than 20 seconds when a loud explosion happened. I nearly crashed my car as I had no idea what had just happened other than glass was everywhere. So I pulled to the shoulder of the road only to find that my sunroof had exploded. The metal piece that is part of the sliding part was hanging on my rubber clearly showing it had not been properly secured. I had my 3 young children in the vehicle and again glass everywhere. There was no indication that something was wrong with my sunroof. I called the dealership where I purchased this vehicle and they stated they have heard this is happening and I need to file a complaint. Chrysler this is absolutely uncalled for and needs to be rectified! My sunroof was closed, the temperature outside was 61, and no severe weather.

Auto stop and start failed while driving causing the vehicle to not start back up at a stop light when the light turned green. It took shutting the ignition off and restarting the vehicle to get going again. This created an unsafe situation in traffic that very well could have resulted in an accident due to the brakes being released and tail lights going out and the vehicle stalling instead of taking off. Had the driver behind me not been paying attention I would have been rear ended. Message currently displayed on dash shows auto start, stop disabled and needs serviced.

The current recall, NHTSA 23V-010, on my vehicle can not be resolved. The manufacturer customer service stated that repair instructions would be released within the 1st quarter or 2nd quarter of 2023. That could be up to six months. I am losing a lot of money because I can't fix the issue. Currently, I do not have any noticeable issues with my vehicle, but Chrysler Customer Service is telling me that even though there is a risk for an accident to occur due to the recall, it is okay for me to continue driving it. This is unacceptable and I think Chrysler should be pressured to move quickly to repair safety recalls or they should have to pay customers subject to the recall for the time they are unable to use their vehicle. This would include either payment for the monthly vehicle loan (or equivalent cost) or payment for a rental vehicle. This particular recall could result in a crash, a fire, injury or a fatality.

While driving at freeway speed a check engine light came on follows by -??service electrical system -?? then limp mode which limits the vehicle to 40mph. Very dangerous on the freeway. Luckily we made it off the freeway but the vehicle locked itself in park gear and began to make loud grinding noises with wipers going on randomly. This happened in a busy intersection. Car was inoperable had to be towed. Would not roll so flat bed tow was not possible. Dealer says the 12v battery was bad and it also needs a new transmission. If a 12v battery caused this to happen, this is a serious problem that could lead to a bad accident. Many more accounts of this online and YouTube.

Driving on a highway (55mph), -??service charging station-?? message popped up and I was unable to accelerate. I was able to pull over to the side of the road. Message said to put the car in park. Unable to go back to drive. Heat/radio remained working. Turned car off and on, car appeared to run but the service charging station error popped up. Repeated many times, but the wheel would lock and error message came back any time I was in drive and took my foot off the brake/tried to accelerate. I had 90% battery and 7/8th tank of gas when this happened. Presume the car was running on electric power at the time. Temp outside was about 25 deg (have driven in much colder recently), I had been driving for about 10 min (about 7 miles. I started with a full charge and didn-??t do anything different than any other time I-??ve driven or charged the car. The car had to be towed to the dealer. Error came up before once when car was parked in the garage. It had been plugged in, but I could not start the car because the hybrid battery completely drained while plugged in. Reset the charger and let it charge and it ran normally after that (about 3 months ago). There are about 13000 miles on the vehicle.

I was travelling on I-95. My 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid completely shut down while driving at 65-70 mph. A Service Charging System message flashed on the dash. The van decelerated and another message "put in park to start" flashed. All of this was while I was driving on the interstate. I was able to brake to a stop on the shoulder and turn on the hazards. I was NOT able to turn off the car. The gears would not move. I could not put it in Park. After 20 minutes I was able to put it into park and turn it off. I restarted the van, but the same message flashed and I could not move. The van was towed to a Chrysler dealership. They had the car Monday and part of Tuesday. They could not duplicate the issue and could not find any error messages. They said they checked the battery several times and it was fine. There was nothing else they could do and sent me home with the van. Fortunately, I was in the right hand lane when this happened. I don't know what would happen if this occurs while in the middle lane and would need to maneuver to the shoulder. I have found that this is not a unique situation and the exact thing has happened to many other Pacifica owners. Unfortunately, I do not believe this is the last time this will happen. I am TERRIFIED to drive this van. I would guess a battery, electrical or computer issue, only because of the many messages on the dash and the inability to turn off the vehicle. I will gladly offer my van for inspection if requested.

Husband was driving the vehicle on a highway during a road trip and it turned off while he was driving. It generated a -??charge fault-?? message on my phone (uConnect). He pulled over to the shoulder, had to start it again, got going, and it died again. He managed to limp it into the nearest town, we had to pay to have it towed and rent a car to get our family home. Vehicle has fewer than 8,000 miles on it, was purchased new December 2020.

While approaching a stop sign and almost completely stopped the engine revved and caused the vehicle to enter the intersection before I could stop it. The engine returned to idle a few seconds later. Fortunately there was no other traffic at this time. The second time this problem occurred I was stopping at a red light and almost completely stopped when the engine revved. I had to apply considerable brake pressure to avoid rear ending the vehicle in front of me. I observed the tachometer read about 2500 RPM and it returned to idle after about five seconds. No errors or other indicators of a failure were noticed. This vehicle had also been experiencing problems with the start/stop feature quite frequently but not at this time. I took the car to a dealership and they said the battery was low causing the start/stop issues but had no idea about the engine revving and could not reproduce the problem. This vehicle is basically new with approximately 2800 highway miles and has only been on the road since the end of June.
