About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
Recall was issued February 18, 2022. Have not been able to park in garage or plug in charger since recall. Numerous calls and letters and emails have resulted in nothing but sympathy. This recall is definitely not being handled in a timely manner! This idiocy needs to get more attention-??.quickly!

This is a complaint that NHTSA recall number 22V-077, opened February 11, 2022, is taking too long to resolve. It is currently June 21, 2022, over 4 months after this recall was issued, and there is still no resolution from the manufacturer. The prohibitions stated in the recall to not park the vehicle near any structures or other vehicles practically prohibit the use of the vehicle at all. Where can I drive my car where it will not be parked by other cars or structures" Where am I supposed to park it at home exactly" Furthermore, I paid extra money to have a partially electic vehicle and prohibiting charging for this long period of time reduces that value as it requires the car to be used as a gas vehicle rather than the electric hybrid I purchased. This issue requires immediate attention.

I own a 2018 CHRYSLER PACIFICA HYBRID. Re: RECALL #Z11/NHTSA 22V-077 It may catch on fire while in my garage, in front of my house or a neighbors house. Chrysler offers no information on where to park it. They don't know what is wrong with the van and no timeline as to when it will be fixed. They won't buy it back as they should. We can't drive or charge our van. We are paying close to $6 in gasoline right now. It is just parked in front of our house. It is vitally important that we have our van. We want a buyback now. Stellantis just bought Chrysler Ram Fiat and are the 4th largest automobile manufacturer in the world. They can afford to make this right.

My van has been recalled due to fire potential. Chrysler has no repair and advises not to charge the van or park it near people or property due to the danger it poses even in the OFF position. It is not safe even parked. We have stopped driving it and Chrysler is not offering a reasonable and timely fix to my situation. I believe 27,000 similar vans are affected jeopardizing the safety of many people in my circumstance. Dealers won-??t accept the van in trade due to severity of the risk it poses and that Chrysler has no known repair.

On three seperate occasions over the past five months, I have encountered the same issue. While driving between 75-80mph on the highway with 32-44% life on the hybrid battery, the vehicle has shut off the engine. A message comes up on the cluster that I must put the vehicle in park to drive. The accelerator does nothing and power steering is lost. I must coast off the highway. Once parked, the vehicle is in a state that cannot be turned on/off. The vehicle start button shows that the vehicle is on, but the engine is still off. All other electronics in car like stereo and bluetooth work as the center touchscreen remains active. Touching the start button makes this flicker to off, but it immediately returns to this state. My vehicle has been at the Chrysler dealer twice already and currently is there for a third time to resolve this issue, but they have no solution. This is deadly!

Chrysler says possible diode failure, possible sudden loss of power, possible crash (fatal), but Chrysler has no replacement, says nothing can be done until third quarter 2017. That's unacceptable. I can't drive a deathmobile. My car has not shown symptoms, but that's not the point. My VIN is on recall list. Recall notice attached.
