When the driver came to, she was trapped in the vehicle, no airbags had been deployed and the vehicle was off. She had to then put the vehicle in park to remove the key and with the help of police she was able to climb out of the trunk. The vehicle was a total loss.

Has happen multiple times, taken to dealership and they were unable to identify a problem. Chrysler also refused to mention or acknowledge existing recall for what appears to be this exact problem because this vehicle was manufactured a few days outside the effective dates of the recall.

All of a sudden my headlights started blinking, then all the lights on the instrument dash board was going off & heard a binging noise. Engine stalled several times. Wireless ignition node was replaced and then found 2010 Town & Country had recall for same problem. I was charged $626.75 for this repair at dealer and claim our vehicle did not have this recall. However this vehicle had the exact same problem. Engine stalling resulted in the loss of power brakes, power steering and airbag loss. Luckily there was no accident at the bottom of the hill on a county road while my 3 children all under the age of 5 were in the vehicle.

The dealer claimed the dash cluster have to be replace. I don't truth the replacement of the instrument cluster will solve the problem, I don't truth the car and I am frustrated. Chrysler group llc has been contacted but they have not return any call back.

I have 2 problems with this vehicle that Chrysler refuses to respond to with appropriate answers. The 1st one is the front brakes. This has been an issue since the purchase of the vehicle. 4-2010 the rotors always create hot spots then causes the brakes to fail.. there is never any wear on the brake pads just the rotors. There was a letter sent out a couple years ago that they would repair the brakes with either a $50 to $100 deductible. Now, they will not honor that letter. Obviously, there was a problem then for the letter to be sent out, why change it now. I still have the same van and the same problem, only to get worse. The second is the airbags. I was involved in an accident with excessive front end damage as well as totaled the car that was hit by me. The airbags never deployed, fortunately, I was not injured. Chrysler refuses to speak to me about these this issue. That keep telling me that because my auto insurance was involved then they would have to do a subrogation report. This is untrue as per my insurance company. This report only needs to be filled out if the driver or passenger's were injured from the accident. Well since there was no injuries, then there is no need for a report. This incident is a consumers complaint. Chrysler doesn't see it that way. They are trying to find every excuse in the book to not cooperate with my complaints. What is Chrysler waiting for" someone to die if my van is to become into another accident" well, I do not want to wait for that to happen. They need to find the problem and fix it before something bad happens again.

My wife was driving alone, North bound on I 65 South of louisville, Kentucky when the back end of the vehicle swayed and she proceeded to slow down and pull off by driving on to the right berm. A tractor which was mowing the grass the side of the road swung up onto the pavement and my wife ran into it. The tractor driver was ejected from the tractor. The front end of the Town & Country received extensive damage and the insurance company stated that the vehicle was totaled. My wife received extensive bruises to her right side, and her forehead struck the steering wheel. Both bones in her left arm were broken, probably due to the fact that the air bag did not deploy. She was taken to the hospital in louisville, Kentucky. Two days later surgery was required as plates and screws were installed in her left arm to hold the bones together and a cast applied. Inspection of the front seat after the accident showed that the horn in the steering wheel still worked but the cover of the air bag in the steering wheel was still secured.

My T&C began leaking from under the dash on the passenger side. At first it was intermittent and usually after a heavy rain, when I would turn on my ac/defrost/heat. We had our vehicle inspected for a leak. None was found, neither was the source of the water coming inside the vehicle. Now the water drips all the time, as long as the HVAC controls are on. It is now affecting the HVAC controls: Although I'm trying not to run it, when on I can feel the cool air but it is not blowing. I suspect the motors to the HVAC and possibly wipers are being effected by whatever is going on under the dash. It has all happened around the same time. There is no recall for this issue for my model year, but the same exact issue was recalled on the 08 model. "these vehicles may experience a heating and air conditioner (HVAC) condensate leak from the HVAC drain grommet onto the occupant restraint control (orc) module, which can lead to the illumination of the airbag warning light and a potential inadvertent airbag deployment without warning. Consequence:an inadvertent airbag deployment could result in injury to the seat occupant in front of the deploying airbag and/or a vehicle crash." When I told this to Chrysler Corp, they said there was nothing they could do. So I said, so who do I call to settle a law suit when the airbag deploys with out warning and causes me to crash, putting me and my young children in severe danger? she said, well you need to go to a dealership and get it fixed.I know that, and I will, but I think it is negligent on their part to not accept for a manufacturers defect that they are familiar with from previous T&C years. Now I have to go accrue a huge bill for Chrysler to take apart the dash and fix their problem with my vehicle. I just don't think it's right.
